I used to think First Direct had good customer service until I really needed it. I had been with them for about 20years. I fell victim to emotional fraud. It was such a horrible and persistent scam. They had no calls saved that’s how I made payments. They said because the payments were small there was nothing they could do. If the crook had been less clever or I had been richer they would have helped!!! I was never expecting full return just a nod to the fact that they were involved. They gave nothing. What made me mad is when I switched as a result they started asking me security questions. They were also sending me spin the wheel prize offers. They have the money to give people gambling prizes but not to compensate where they couldn’t help keep a customers money safe from fraud. Reviewed on: 13th April 2024

I’ve always been able to speak to someone straight away. When I was on holiday and robbed the customer service was really helpful. I love the ease at which I can open loads of different saving accounts and name them with my goals. These are all at a decent rate . The card feels safer with no number also.
