Banking overreach at it's finest

I was with Revolut for just a few short months and nearly every transaction I made was flagged for security checks due to possible fraud despite the transactions being similar to ones previously investigated. They even froze my account when I was simply trying to transfer funds back to my Santander current account from which they'd come from a few days earlier! Their security procedure is onerous, lengthy and invasive. They even ask questions not relating to the transaction as though they are just data farming e.g. what are you going to do with the money when it reaches your other account, what investments do you have and send us screen shots of your other accounts and transactions. If you refuse to answer these invasive questions then you risk having your account frozen and put under review for two weeks without any recourse. There is something seriously amiss with Revolut so I have closed my account and moved to Monzo who I have to say have been faultless so far. Reviewed on: 17th April 2024
