They took literally 5 hours to arrive when they said one hour when my car broke down near my house, and I had to miss work. They gave no updates either. I submitted a formal complaint and they compensated me a measly £20, but the quality of breakdown cover and the time taken was awful. I also live right in the middle of a big city, so it was not like I was in the middle of nowhere. It was also after 9am, so not rush hour either. They also only allow two callouts for breakdown and then make you take your car to the garage, so not suitable for cars with old batteries or have frequent issues. Start Rescue is cheap for a reason. Call them when my motorbike died and I was stuck on a bridge. They got someone out to be with me until recovery came. Above and beyond.
