Contacted Brightside via Compare the market website and accepted their car insurance quote.From then on it was all downhill.I particularly requested that they posted the paperwork as I had no printer Nothing arrived in seven days.despite many phones calls I then phoned the insurance co directly They reminded Brightside(Broker)of my request and three days later the paperwork arrived .What a performance!

Once the awful, time consuming and stressful experience of navigating the comparison sites, traditional brokers and direct contact with insurance companies was over Brightside have been a delight to deal with, without intrusive up-selling attempts by text and email perpetrated by other companies. We will see how we stand in a year!

Initially very pleased with the service, friendly advisor but then went downhill! I explained I was going away on holiday and wouldn't be able to sign any paperwork until my return but while I was away I was constantly bombarded with emails about my insurance cover, I explained again I was away but I still kept getting them, all I needed to know was that I was covered! Trying to ring them was a total nightmare even when I was put through directly, 15mins+ I was holding on, not just once but 3 times! Iveven only been insured for just under a week and I already can't wait to renew next year-with someone else!

Great price but loss of customer care kept getting emails ref ncb and licence although had uploaded to site asap and one even gave few days and policy would be canceld and took near 40 mins and a few trys over 2 days to get to talk to someone to be told the hold up was that had been asked for dvla code this was not the case after looking over emails and policy paperwoek etc was never asked for this and has now cost me a lot on my mobile trying to make sure cover was not canceld could have all been resolved if had been called or if i could have been able to get someone faster on the phone ir a responce to emails even had to send bank details bye email because had lost 2 lunches at work waiting on hold and coyld not risk not having insurance not a great start to a new customer hoep thw rest of the time with yourswlfs goes better

WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER BEEN WITH!!!!

Worst company I have ever been with! Went with Driect debit option, spent £416 as a deposit but after a few weeks got a cheaper quote by another company so decided to cancel. Called up and was on hold for almost an hour which Is ridiculous as im sure if I was a new customer the waiting time would be no longer than a few mins! Anyway.. when speaking to cancellations it was the worst customer service Ive ever had! Had me on hold while they check my account for another 15 mins! Finally coming to cancel now.. I thought having the cover for no longer than 3 weeks I'd be getting some of that deposit back.. but no! I'm now told I actually owe them a further £406!!!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! That's a total of £826 for 3 weeks cover!!!! That's most peoples full year cover! 
Put a complaint in over these fees and got a response that there is nothing they can do, it's all in the terms of the business I have agreed with. This policy was taken online and it's a tick box you have to click to take the policy, and I'm very sure everyone just ticks without reading and they are aware this happenes but still refused to give any money back to me. I would never recommend this company to anyone! Not even my worst enemy!
