Do not use EVEN card!

Here is a short story and it is similar to the one already posted here. I got my EVEN card for teavels as it seemed to be the option for withdrawing and paying abroad. It is truly good value 50£ a year and all the transactions are free. Hold on yes if this would be true. The trouble is that you actually can't withdraw any cash even if you have money available. Secondly this card is not accepted even if the shop accepts MasterCard. Thirdly if you try to get somewhere through their customer service they tell you lies a lot of lies. And lastly for some reason all my money had gone from the account without my knowledge. I actually think that this is not a legitimate company. Reviewed on: 3rd September 2016

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY'RE AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!! I took out an Even card to go travelling around South-East Asia for 2 months and I've had nothing but problems both while away and on my return. First off, it’s a MasterCard not a Visa and there are a large number of banks in SE Asia which don't accept MasterCard. The card also randomly stopped working on numerous occasions despite being under the daily spend limit and having more than adequate funds available! Their customer service is beyond awful and on every occasion I've had the misfortune to have to speak to them I've got nowhere, especially now I'm trying to close the account. The website states you can only do so by calling them, then after 20 mins on hold I got through to be told I had to send an e-mail! E-mail was sent and I was promised a manager call-back the following morning to discuss my dissatisfaction, but that never materialised and their still taking money from my account.
