Local company quietly offering a good savings package

Small local building society, I might have overlooked their offers had it not been mentioned on a well known money saving website. Offering several accounts with better interest than I could get elsewhere for regular savings, I have subsequently opened other similar accounts with them. The only niggles are that you have to open the account at a branch, and have a classroom that has to be taken in person to be updated but that is a minor inconvenience. I’m so glad I opened a LISA!

I have had a Lifetime ISA for 3 years. It was free to open my account and I get sent reminders and updates related to the tax year and interest rates. I have saved so much in this time (max amount) that if I continue for another 3 years I will have enough for a deposit on a house, even on a low income. I think the bank and scheme is fantastic, and having the 25% bonus removed if you withdraw money is a great way to never spend it. It’s also very easy to navigate, on the website and on the app. I trust this company, having found all the legal paperwork easy to understand with no catch. Due to my recommendations my family have also opened LISA’s with this bank. This service is opening doors for people that normally would’ve never been able to afford a house. Using this to save for my first house and it’s so easy to use! Never had any problems and it provides me with a breakdown of my savings. It provides me further information about inflation rates and interest routes. You can set up a direct debit so it goes straight to your Lifetime ISA so it’s made it really easy for me to save, as I don’t ever see the money! Reviewed on: 17th April 2025
