Called the emergency number several times, either had to wait endlessly only for the call to be dropped or was told what I had to fix was not covered. A broken door wouldn't be replaced but simply boarded up, nice. Who would want that? A broken tap resulted in a house without water not covered because of policy wording. Useless and a waste of money. AVOID at all costs! Reviewed on: 4th April 2024

ARAG is super corrupt and fraudulent. I worked for a City of London Construction Insurance firm and both colluded with a corrupt solicitor to fail my tribunal case. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!!!, If your work-place Union/Association Insures with ARAG, your company is corrupt. Reviewed on: 27th May 2021

ARAG failed to comply with policy

After being insured with ARAG for years I used them in relation to a claim for professional negligence. They promised lots and delivered absolutely nothing. They authorised a solicitor to apply to court to apply for my case file from a solicitor refusing to hand it over. They then changed their mind and referred me to the Ombudsman if I wanted it. The solicitor appointed ignored evidence and said he could not proceed without my file. I offered to pay for the court process to obtain my file as ARAG dragged their feet before refusing to apply. Keep well away from this company. They do not act in your interests and are a disgrace. Reviewed on: 22nd May 2019

Luckily the policy included accidental damage and when my husband dislodged the valve when trying to blead a radiator help was quick to arrive. Reviewed on: 6th September 2018

My boiler broke down with no pressure at all being retained. I called the ARAG helpline and an engineer was soon despatched who diagnosed the problem and quickly fixed it. All the costs were met by the policy. I would therefore definitely recommend the cover. Reviewed on: 28th August 2018

ARAG no worries home assistance

Sometimes finding a reliable contractor requires a leap of faith..... Will they turn up on time or even at all? Will they do a professional job? Will their costs be reasonable? Using ARAG's Home Emergency Service takes all those uncertainties away. The contractor turned up when I was told they would, quickly identified and dealt with the problem all without fuss, or me having to pay for their costs. Highly recommended. 24x7x365 is a lie and left high and dry without electricity despite prinises

The service was simply not accessible out of hours as publicised (a dereliction of quality management).... although Sarah was helpful, promises were not kept (number of available visits to restore emergency) and problems not solved. I will be claiming back the cost of pest control which I had to engage separately owing to lack of out of hours support.
