claim experience

I had the unfortunate event of having to use my Home Emergency which is provided by ARAG. Everyone I spoke with was professional and considerate with my situation, the contractors were timely, polite and done an amazing job!!! Well done ARAG 

Very fast and efficient service :-)

My boiler broke down with no pressure at all being retained. I called the ARAG helpline and an engineer was soon despatched who diagnosed the problem and quickly fixed it. All the costs were met by the policy. I would therefore definitely recommend...

Sometimes finding a reliable contractor requires a leap of faith..... Will they turn up on time or even at all? Will they do a professional job? Will their costs be reasonable? Using ARAG's Home Emergency Service takes all those uncertainties away. The contractor turned up when I was told they would, quickly identified and dealt with the problem all without fuss, or me having to pay for their costs. Highly recommended.

The service was simply not accessible out of hours as publicised (a dereliction of quality management).... although Sarah was helpful, promises were not kept (number of available visits to restore emergency) and problems not solved. I will be claiming back the cost of pest control which I had to engage separately owing to lack of out of hours support. Overall a terrible service with few redeemi g aspects

Poor service, left in the lurch.

Find leak at 0600, tried to find and isolate leak. Ring home emergency line at 0953 with a major leak. Emergency plumber will arrive between 1200-1600 hours. Not a local plumber, based in Blackburn I'm in...

Find leak at 0600, tried to find and isolate leak. Ring home emergency line at 0953 with a major leak. Emergency plumber will arrive between 1200-1600 hours. Not a local plumber, based in Blackburn I'm in Bolton.
Turns up at 1650, took 4 photos, filled in a app on his phone and left after 8 minutes saying he couldn't fix or touch it.
Rang the emergency line again to be told, we've done our bit, call your insurers, it's with them now.
By this time our insurers, RSA had closed and nobody wanted to now.
Still had a major water leak, luckily we got it turned off in the street by a friendly local plumber. Ground floor drenched by now.

Wasp nest

I was on a mates holiday in Spain when the wife discovered a wasps nest at home. I explained the situation to the call handler and she arranged everything very quickly and efficiently. It saved me a lot of grief when I got back home
