I have only had one direct experience of Vernon Building Society as my mortgage broker has handled all the communication with them up til completion which has only recently occured. I needed to check their criteria for allowing a solicitor to act for them and ourselves in our remortgage before appointing my solicitor and so contacted them. The person I spoke to was extremely helpful and I also understand from my solicitors that Vernon were helpful in finalising the offer within a tight deadline. So far, so good, I am pleased to say.
