Lost my money. Couldn't tell me how.

Mettle lost £5k of my money in their system, and despite me giving them all of the relevant tracking numbers and instruction ID, they could not tell me where my money was. They simply claimed "it's in our system and we don't know why it's not in your account". A week after raising this with them and I still don't have my money. Customer service and communication on the matter has been poor, and no explanation yet offered. This has caused severe issues for me an my family. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Reviewed on: 11th September 2026

I’ve been with Mettle for three years ....

I’ve been with Mettle for three years since becoming self-employed and have found it to be a great business banking app. It’s simple, easy to use, and the integration with FreeAgent has made managing my accounts much easier. My only real downside is the introduction of charges for things like cash withdrawals and cheque deposits, which is disappointing. Overall though, it’s been a reliable and user-friendly bank for my business. Reviewed on: 12th June 2026

I’ve been self employed for 4 years and really struggled to save for tax bills now it automatically comes out into a separate pot whenever I receive a payment so I’m not tempted to touch the tax money! Fantastic feature, invoicing straight through the app and listing expenses couldn’t be easier too! I recommend this bank account to all my friends and family it’s really made self employment a whole lot simpler! Reviewed on: 11th June 2026

Good banking hours services

Transferring money for 24 hours a day is regarded as good services, when I am abroad, I still used the bank without the time limit. The bank manager sent me a message to prevent a possible scam; that is not too often and instructive, rather being gentle and respectful. And you don't do the maintenance work too often that is quite reliable to use the account 24 hours a day. So far based on those factors, the level of services are satisfactory.
