I switched my starling account for another UK bank account to get a switching offer, however, when I've tried to reopen a Starling Bank account. . . I've been refused, because Starling policy now states that once you close the account, you can no longer open another one!!! Reviewed on: 31st March 2026

But we're currently making some changes to our onboarding process, and have temporarily paused applications to returning customers. While we don't have any recent news or a specific timeframe on this yet, we can assure you that we're working hard to make it available again very soon. Use for everyday needs. Love the pie visual to see where my money is being spent. Easy to use! Great for the simple banking. Even have saving pockets where I round up and can find random bits of money! Always a nice surprise . Doesn’t take much space in my phone either Reviewed on: 26th March 2026

Opened for associated child account.

Opened for associated child account and has been ok. Easy to use and set up but a tad confusing to move money around in the app. Easy to transfer into and out of Starling so great for that. Had 1 problem and needed Customer Service who were very quick and very good. Reviewed on: 25th March 2026

Dual currency account, what a great idea.

I have an account with Starling which gives me a euro account running alongside it. What an innovation, no need to worry about changing currency for a holiday, just transfer working the account and away you go. Fantastic. Reviewed on: 25th March 2026
