Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own...

Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own money by stopping you transferring it between your own accounts and also returned a £20 direct debit when I had about £350 in my account, this resulted in me getting a £25 charge and it will impact my credit file. Their customer services are useless, I've been with the bank for years, but it looks like its time to move on !!!! Reviewed on: 21st August 2026

all works very well and I appreciate being able to move money into an interest generating savings pot - it would be great if I was able to automate things a bit though - and I use another credit card for most purchases so I can get cash back but id love to be able to do that with this account Reviewed on: 21st August 2026

Disrupting the banking sector in a great way

I have my business and personal accounts with Starling, they have always seemed innovative and do things a bit differently. Very fair and with no charges. I like the ‘spaces’ which allow my to separate saving for different things. Reviewed on: 12th June 2026
