very poor service, I will never use them or recommend bedford insurance

took up the policy and I changed my car a few months into the policy. As I couldnt cancel the policy due to excessive service charges, I had to renew the whole policy. this meant that I lost out on over £250 as I was told that my breakdown cover could not be refunded they also applied a service charge. This is mainly due to the fact that they use a finance company that underwrites the policy which means that they send you legal letters threatening legal action if you dont pay the fees ! The whole experience has been a nightmare and I would rather pay slightly more for my insurance from a reputable company Reviewed on: 3rd October 2017

Cancelled insurance within cooling off period. No contact from Bedford after automatic acknowledgement and no refund two months later. Appalling service. Reviewed on: 1st October 2017

Car insurance

I am Bedford's customer for over 3 years. I am pleased with their service because each year they offer me low price possible. Once I had got a refund from them on about 250 pounds because I was paying extra by mistake. Reviewed on: 1st October 2017

Good Efficient Company

Bedford contacted me in good time with a quotation for my landlod and unlike most compaies did not automatically take the premium from the account used previously. I was not hassled to renew my insurance but reminded when it was nearing the renewal date. The renewal process was easy and what I considered to be good value. Reviewed on: 30th September 2017

Rude call centre staff

I have had a few occasions over the last 12 months to call this broker, the last occasion being Tuesday 26th September. Obviously not all the staff are rude so it would be unfair of me to label them "all the same" however I have to say that I must have been extremely unlucky to hit on rude staff every time I've had reason to call. Staff seem to forget that not every customer is as familiar with the insurance procedure as they are and occasionally we might have to ask questions or ask them to repeat something and I personally don't expect to be met with rudeness! The chap I spoke to on Tuesday sealed my fate as I took my business elsewhere and probably had to pay more as a result! Money well spent to be able to speak with someone with good manners.
