This year's host
Hal Cruttenden is one of the UK’s most popular comedians, as well as a talented writer and actor. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You and The Royal Variety Performance, with regular spots on Mock the Week and The Apprentice: You’re Fired.
On radio, Hal co-wrote and starred in his BBC Radio 4 sitcom Hal, and his stand-up shows – including It’s Best You Hear It From Me, Chubster and Straight Outta Cruttenden – are available on Amazon Prime.
A globetrotting performer, Hal has played at Just For Laughs Montreal, Melbourne and New Zealand comedy festivals, toured across Europe, Asia and Canada, and performed for British Armed Forces abroad. His 2025 UK tour show, Hal Cruttenden Can Dish It Out But Can’t Take It, received multiple five-star reviews at Edinburgh Fringe.
Having hosted our British bank awards two years ago, we’re delighted that Hal will be bringing back his signature wit and charm for 2026.
