This year's host
Simon Evans is one of the UK’s most respected and best loved comedians. Familiar from countless TV and radio appearances and critically acclaimed tour shows, he is particularly popular on the corporate and after dinner circuit.
He has been at the top of his game now for over twenty-five years and his TV credits include appearances on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow, and Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week.
On BBC Radio 4 his series Simon Evans Goes to Market, delighting audiences with his witty and insightful take on the comedically-unpromising territory of economics, has had six seasons so far, all of which prove among the most popular downloads on the Sounds App.
In 2025 Simon’s current tour show Have We Met? with all the gnarly old charm and verve you’d expect, is live until April and then we are delighted he will be our host at the British bank awards in May.
