Self aware

GoHenry has been such a great tool in helping my children become more aware of saving and spending. It gives them a sense of independence while teaching important money skills in a way that's easy to understand. They love setting savings goals and tracking their spending, and I love seeing them learn how to make smart financial choices. An unbelievable godsend for an autistic seven year old

I saw the gohenry app advertised on social media. I showed my partner to see if he thought it was a good idea for a 7 year old and we agreed that because of the learning aspect, it would be a great tool to have. I wish we would have had something like this as kids, I definitely wouldn’t be in debt now if we did. I grew up in poverty and with my parents in heaps of debt. I am trying my very best to break the cycle. Every single day my son is approaching me with facts about money, saving, spending, interest etc. I am majorly impressed. One thing that has surprised me is the level of maturity he has shown with his money. He will look at something he wants and will say “I haven’t got enough, I will have enough next week when I get paid so I’ll have a look then” and he has said he wants to save to take the family to an aquarium. I am so so proud of how well he is doing. I signed up with a 2 months free and free £20 spending money, I contacted customer services asking for more information and with my concerns with it not showing on my account straight away. They listened to me and explained everything thoroughly and told me what to do next if anything went wrong (unsurprisingly, it didn’t). I must admit, I love the idea of the ISA too. We have set a 20% interest fee that we as parents pay on his normal savings but I have explained how an ISA works and showed him which lessons are relating to ISAs and savings on the app and he has asked me to activate it for him. I am more than happy with gohenry and couldn’t recommend it enough. My son has autism so the app being easy to use, colourful and engaging has been an absolute godsend. He even uses the learning side of the app to self regulate when his emotions are running high. It’s a huge huge win for our family and worth every penny. Reviewed on: 15th April 2025

Fabulous wee app!

Really great app… teaching/educating children about money, saving etc Things they don’t really learn at school. Also allows kids to look and see what they are spending… teaching them the value of money and actually thinking “do I need this” or “do I want this”…. Also providing a monetary incentive for tasks they complete. You can set up daily task, weekly tasks and it allows them to see the power of earning money. Also love the fact that the parent can limit spending and see in real time what they spend their money on. Having an ISA is also a huge bonus. Reviewed on: 15th April 2025
