My account has kept my £7000 and will not tell me when I will receive this. I have received a letter from them stating my account will be closed within 7 days and a cheque will be sent out. Two months later the account is still not closed and no cheque issued. Reviewed on: 10th June 2024

I've been with thinkmoney since around 2006 and i wouldn't change banks. I don't understand why ALL banks aren't like this. So easy to manage your money with the budgeting tool and split. It means i never overspend, and with no overdraft facility, i never get into debt either. Really easy to use app, and all their staff are based in the UK. I would never go back to banking with any of the usual suspects. Reviewed on: 23rd February 2024

Disgusting service

My partner was sent correspondence in respect of the new App and a new card. I did not receive any correspondence from TM. When the new App went live card was stopped and I could not access my money. Neither could I log into the new app as it did not recognise my details. The details to log in where my date of birth, my account number and email all of which I know and relate to me. My partner has had no correspondence about authorising me accessing our joint account on the app. Furthermore I would question why that would be the case given that it is a preexisting account that we both had access to via the old app. Neither could I get through to TM it took my around 6 days. I was the assured that a card would be sent out in the next 5 to 10 days. When I advised that this was not acceptable given that I work away and need access to my money I was told that it would be sent out that night. I am still waiting for said card. In the conversation the person was apologetic and a discussion was had about an investigation and potential compensation. TM has sent another card that arrived this Thursday the card is in my partners name, she already has a new card. After multiple calls and emails asking in fact begging for a call back as your phone lines are impossible at best the of times, I finally got an email response saying our card change is not normally like this and we have a high volume of calls. Given that we pay for a monthy fee for the pleasure of an accout with TM. I do not feel that i should have to chase TM. I do not accept the fact that you were receiving a high volume of calls or problem with the new app as a reason for me not been able to access my own money in my account. I am disappointed beyond belief with the service I have received. Due to incompetence I have had to use my credit card whilst working away, occurring intrest. You keep asking for more details in your response. I am not sure what more you require given the lack of correspondence. Reviewed on: 10th December 2023

Not fit for purpose

New app is not fit for purpose. Budgeting is wrong. Account stating shortfalls when there is money in the spend account that would previously have automatically been moved to bills. New bills are not automatically set up as they said and have no option to add it as a bill so it is budgeted for unless I want to pay it by standing order! Absolutely shocking. Can’t get through on the phone. Emailed and they responded 5 days later without resolving the issues at all! I think I will be moving from Think Money after 12 years+ with them due to this! I have bank accounts with other providers and only stayed with Think due to the ease. However it is FAR from easy with them now and in fact is wholly stressful having to check my account daily to see if it has rectified. Reviewed on: 8th December 2023

Absolutely disgusting!!

New app? Pathetic!! Been trying to get through to customer service from the 20th of November … 1 hr 50 … 2 hours even 3 and a half hours and still no luck to speak to someone regarding my account. I can’t access any services this company advertises!!! I have had to borrow of people to survive! I can tap my card but cannot withdraw from a cash machine or view my availability. New App

The new app is terrible I spent over 2hrs on hold Wednesday yesterday they never answered I had to go to work I am on the phone now to them now and have been for 2hrs 30mins the new app is not working on my phone hasn't worked since the New App was launched last Friday why change to a new app when the old one worked just fine and who is going to pay for all the customers phone bills as being on the phone costs money Think Money should have had a free phone number set up for this new app so its customers could phone for free as think money must have known that their was going to be a lot of problems with this new app Reviewed on: 24th November 2023

Thinkmoney Court Hearing

COURT HEARING THINKMONEY Thinkmoney start the hostility in March this year when decide to block my account without notice and eventually end up in closing the same account. During this process Thinkmoney lack of customer service/care was exposed. Ignoring my calls and emails; providing false and misleading information; refusing and blocking access to my funds in account illegally. They act in such arrogant manner neglecting my person and my rights as customer. Unacceptable. This cause me enormous stress and anxiety for the inconvenience of the situation. Because was my primary bank account this cause me financial issues and as directly result financial loss. I decide to raise a complaint to Financial Ombudsman Service and Financial Conduct Authority. Still on going process... Also I decide to claim compensation trough the Small Claim Court for all the damage and loss create by Thinkmoney. Obvious they reject the claim. In a very professional and technical response to my claim/court and disrespectful to my person they request the court to set aside the claim. Also they ask for hearing not to be held. Unfortunately for them the court decide for hearing. Whatever will be the outcome of the hearing for me is already kind of justice for the damage Thinkmoney cause. Bring them to court against they expections to prove how wrong and badly they act towards me made me believe in justice. Know your rights and never give up if any business or firm does wrong. Yes they are big whit plenty of resources, lacking in customer service and arrogant, but fight back no matter how long it takes because In the end justice will be done.
