Think Money are amazing. Brilliant system - A account for direct debits, standing orders etc., which you don’t have access to. B account is your spending money. Reviewed on: 24th March 2026

Do not bother. Terrible service. And terrible app.

I opened an account with them 9 months ago. Their service is bad, their app is literally trash. Constantly freezing, not properly laid out. It looks like it was built by a first year university student. Even simple features like open banking or Apple Pay are missing. They claim to help you budget but all transactions are marked as 'Salary to card' or 'Card to salary' so you can't even make any sense of how your money is being spent. They do not help you with managing your money at all. The so called budgeting feature is transferring your upcoming bills to some other account - to which, they restrict your access. Anyone with half a brain knows to ensure they have more money in their account than their outgoing bills so their value prop there is moot. The real service they provide is access to banking for people with bad credit, and since they know that their customers are people who are struggling, they fully take advantage of that by treating their customers like second class citizens. If you do not have bad credit, do not bother with this bank as every day with them is borrowed. They will inevitably close your account without warning and leave you high and dry. They charge you £10/month for providing nothing. At the very least you would expect some sensible customer service for that price, but nothing. Just bad service, regular outages and sub par tech. They have now closed my account without informing me at all. They send emails every day asking me to get a credit card with them, but can't send me an email to inform me that they are closing my account. I don't know why they closed my account, and to be honest I don't care. I just want my money back. Good riddance. I had read the reviews online, and judging by how bad their service has been, I knew it was just a matter of time and I made contingencies for this. The only way they can have such a high rating on review sites is if they pay these people or they flood the sites with fake reviews. As I write this, I have been on the phone to their 'customer service' for 45 minutes. They have no physical branches so this is the only way to contact them. Such is the life you will live if you choose to bank with Think Money. If you have any other option, I advise you to take it. Avoid this bank at all cost. Reviewed on: 14th April 2022

I have nothing good to say about this bank any more.

Transfers not arriving and receiving until much later or not at all without proper explanation. Now won't let me use the lottery,they have technical issues,over 10 days now and now refuses my card altogether, it's been rejected by eon now for months,hour long to speak to someone. Won't stop contacting me!

I have never been a customer of this bank. Someone tried to scam me online and steal my details, but only got some, enough to try and open an account with these people. I have contacted them and made the story clear, they have assured me it will go no further, but it's a few months later and I still get emails telling me to complete my account setup, despite all my efforts to end this, unsubscribe, etc. I just keep on getting the emails, so contrary to their assurances of removing me from their system, I'm obviously very much still on it. Scammers?

great for basic banking

A great account to keep you on track, but beware that the card issued on the account is prepaid card wich means your bank can not be verified by credit searches, and as such you can NOT apply for credit products using this account, or use any of the slice payment systems such as zilch, clearpay etc Reviewed on: 7th August 2021

Can Send Money Anywhere Anytime Apart From Where I Want When I Want

Ring up to do do an international transfer they say. So I did - Tuesday morning at 9am. Got through to someone at 9.25am. 'You will be called by lunchtime by the appropriate team.' Lunchtime - no response. Called. Told 'Call back promised by end of business banking...' Nope. Following day - 8am called, 8.10am registered a complaint. Told I would be called back that day. Lunchtime, still no response. (Called 11.30 - got through at 11.55 - was told, after 3 attempts of agent trying to connect me to team unsuccessfully - that the team had been messaged, were aware of me, and would call me.' Two hours later - still nothing. Called again, tried to put me through again, no response, will call me back. Now, day 3 and 2.30pm and still no call, still no transfer, still no support, 'but they are aware of you...' How hard is it to pick up a phone for crying out loud. Shocking. Their customer service hold statement: 'Use the Think Money App to send money anytime - anywhere....' MISLEADING - ANYWHERE IN THE UK IT SHOULD SAY!!! Avoid. There is much better out there. Angry, annoyed, frustrated, had to call several times, and absolutely terrible, considering I can send money anytime, anywhere, yet can't send to where I want, when I want. THINK MONEY

This company is so incompetent and misleading, im absolutely baffled what the charges are for on the account because the service is extremely poor, the time frames set for dealing with issues are never met, the staff just tell you anything to get you off the phone,after nearly 3 weeks i am still waiting for correspondence regarding an unauthorized payment and a complaint i raised 2 weeks ago still havent been contacted despite the 3 day time frame .... i have opened another account and cant wait to receive a professional forthcoming service Reviewed on: 21st May 2021
