Do not bother. Terrible service. And terrible app.

I opened an account with them 9 months ago. Their service is bad, their app is literally trash. Constantly freezing, not properly laid out. It looks like it was built by a first year university student. Even simple features like open banking or Apple Pay are missing. They claim to help you budget but all transactions are marked as 'Salary to card' or 'Card to salary' so you can't even make any sense of how your money is being spent. They do not help you with managing your money at all. The so called budgeting feature is transferring your upcoming bills to some other account - to which, they restrict your access. Anyone with half a brain knows to ensure they have more money in their account than their outgoing bills so their value prop there is moot. The real service they provide is access to banking for people with bad credit, and since they know that their customers are people who are struggling, they fully take advantage of that by treating their customers like second class citizens. If you do not have bad credit, do not bother with this bank as every day with them is borrowed. They will inevitably close your account without warning and leave you high and dry. They charge you £10/month for providing nothing. At the very least you would expect some sensible customer service for that price, but nothing. Just bad service, regular outages and sub par tech. They have now closed my account without informing me at all. They send emails every day asking me to get a credit card with them, but can't send me an email to inform me that they are closing my account. I don't know why they closed my account, and to be honest I don't care. I just want my money back. Good riddance. I had read the reviews online, and judging by how bad their service has been, I knew it was just a matter of time and I made contingencies for this. The only way they can have such a high rating on review sites is if they pay these people or they flood the sites with fake reviews. As I write this, I have been on the phone to their 'customer service' for 45 minutes. They have no physical branches so this is the only way to contact them. Such is the life you will live if you choose to bank with Think Money. If you have any other option, I advise you to take it. Avoid this bank at all cost. Reviewed on: 14th April 2022
