Understandable

Had my precious bicycle stolen from my van in the New Forest, was absolutely heartbroken, reported the theft to Yellow Jersey and proceeded with a claim, the guys at Yellow Jersey where tremendous dealing with my claim, very often insurance companies rub salt in wounds, but these guys provided a warm and understandable approach to an otherwise upsetting time, a special mention to a guy named Kien Dang who dealt with my claim, provisional throughout! Despite claiming for some wheel damage months after the incident it was accepted without issue (policy states 28 day time limit). My assigned claims advisor, Jonathan, was knowledgeable and friendly. A few back and forth e-mails to confirm proof of purchase/components and a phone call to sum up was all I had to do. As an imported component and with a labour cost to re-build any insurer outsourcing to generic claims handlers would likely have given me the headache of explaining things and haggling prices and currency exchange rates. Instead, a fair price was offered first time and the money was with me within days. In fact from submitting the online form to the settlement offer was just 3 working days. Best of all it doesn't seem to have had a detrimental affect on my renewal premium and I recently renewed my policy for another year. Very impressed and have highly recommended YJI to my club mates. Very Responsive, Sorted my Bikes out Quickly!

I've made two claims with Yellow Jersey now, one for a crash in a race and once when I got hit by a car on my commute. On both occasions, they were very quick to respond, usually within hours of submitting a claim. They sent me out replacement products or settled with a cash value on items they couldn't replace and I was back on my bike shortly after!
