Do not insure you car with this company. They charge you too much to cancel your policy. They are a rip off money grabbing company. Stay clear. Be even worse if you need to claim. Fortunately I didn’t need to. But don’t bother insure with them ! They will take your money and not very helpful Reviewed on: 11th October 2023

Horrific customer service.

Almost impossible to get through to, call back system useless and if ever you get through after a 30 min wait you’re told that person can’t help and you’ll be called back, no big surprise, but no one calls back. Reviewed on: 24th July 2023

Be warned

Be warned - if you insure your car annually with Lancaster Insurance and then have to cancel 50 days into your policy because you change your car and they won't insure it, you won't be due a refund. They just tell you it's tough luck and refer you endlessly to their terms and conditions. I won't be insuring any of my vehicles with Lancaster Insurance again. Reviewed on: 24th May 2023

AVOID RIP OFF

******. paid a year premium for my classic car had to sell it due to current climate. expecting some refund not much. only had 5 month use OUT OF 12 MONTHS WAS TOLD NO REFUND. i used to recommend this company. not anymore. i have a few classic cars to insure but i will not use Lancaster plenty of others out there. Avoid this Company

Terrible company to deal with. Ended up being charged the full year amount for 86 days cover after cancelling the policy due to sale of the vehicle. They only 'refunded' 6 months of the premium for 86 days cover and then the cancellation charge convieniently was exactly the amount of that 'refund'. Will never use for any of my vehicles again. dont use!!

I cancelled my car insurance after 40 days as I sold my car, and they would not refund me a penny , taking the whole years policy in fees. I have never been so shocked in my life, daylight robbery, avoid at all costs. Reviewed on: 10th October 2022

Hopeless claims handling procedures

I only hope that you never have to claim. Their claims handling procedures are hopelessly inefficient and totally unprofessional. I have to wait hours on the phone listening to dreadful music and recorded messages "your call is important to us..."! I have been given different email addresses for repair estimates and never receive reply. Don't touch them with a bargepole!! Reviewed on: 10th December 2021
