Terrible communication

1
I contacted Mojo Mortgages this past July to seek quotes for a new mortgage. They assured me that they would keep me informed of any rate reductions. Regrettably, this was not the case. I found myself persistently chasing Mojo for the latest offers and to progress with applications. Their service appeared to be too much for them to handle efficiently. Despite explicitly stating our requirements, they continually presented us with rates for products we had no interest in and even applied for products we hadn't authorised. This was frustrating and raised serious concerns about their attention to our specific needs. As we approached the expiry of our current mortgage deal, Mojo Mortgages renewed our mortgage without adhering to our explicit request to pay the product fee upfront. Contrary to our wishes, this fee was added to our mortgage. A further issue was the inconsistency in our point of contact. Despite promises of a dedicated individual managing our mortgage, we were dealt with by several different people, leading to a disjointed and impersonal experience. Moreover, communication proved to be a significant challenge. Getting in touch with our supposed advisor was nearly impossible, and conversations seemed to occur only at their convenience, not ours. This lack of accessibility was a significant shortcoming. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend seeking mortgage advice and services elsewhere from a provider who genuinely prioritises their clients' needs and preferences. ignoring emails

1
I would like to say how good mojo are, but they have been ignoring my emails and the lack of communication is very frustrating. I have given them plenty of time and emailed many times to get a response, but nothing. Reviewed on: 11th April 2023

Promised to £150 gift voucher to join but never materialised

1
I have promised £150 gift voucher which was a deciding factor in choosing the broker. 2 months after completion of mortgage, I am still chasing up to get the gift voucher but not in luck. They have using fake promises to get new customers. Reviewed on: 24th March 2023

Disappointed

1
Lucy was emailing an illustration in December. That never arrived. I chased this in an email and a phone call in January or anybody to ring me as I had given up on Lucy. I am still waiting ... to the extent I thought the company must have gone into Liquidation. Reviewed on: 15th March 2023

Awful - stay away from them

1
Wouldn't recommend them, I'm months into a mortgage application that should be very simple. It turns out that the information I send to my 'expert' Case Manager tends to sit in their inbox for several days before it actually gets passed on to the bank. Really frustrating waste of time. Furthermore I can never get in touch with the Case Manager by phone it always just rings out, then goes to a voicemail or redirected to Mojo Mortgages main phoneline, which then in turn goes to voicemail. Its impossible to speak to an actual human. I recently used L&C Mortgages on a seperate remortgage and had zero problems with them. They were quick to respond to queries, and had a mortgage offer within weeks... Do not recommend at all. Don't be fooled by the flashy website, its actually painfully glitchy, and most the time unusable. I had to upload the same documents multiple times because they just seem to get lost in some abyss and the Case Manager can't find them. Reviewed on: 28th February 2023

Made the experience more stressful than it should have been

1
Didn’t receive many updates on our application at all, no matter how many times we tried. Our advisor regularly took time off without telling us or anyone else about our case. Only made progress on our case when we threatened to go to the ombudsman as the level of service was unacceptable. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022

Disappointed

1
I used Mojo having found them online abs while everything started out well it quickly went down hill.I was quickly left on what felt like was on my own with a lot of unanswered questions. They don’t have a contact number you to speak to everyone, so when I had so issues it was IMPOSSIBLE to contact them. When things got challenging with my solicitors that they had recommended they abandoned me, to date I still done have my land registry papers and mojo who recommended this solicitors after several emails have now just ignored everything! The list goes on and on so no I wouldn’t recommend them or vote for them. Reviewed on: 15th February 2022

Avoid at all cost

1
Mojo nearly cost me my mortgage. They are slow, unresponsive, not proactive and lack attention to detail. Not what you want from a mortgage broker. I had to cut them out and communicate with the lender directly. Reviewed on: 1st February 2022
