    Advice for people using Power of Attorneys

    I act for my elderly cousin using a registered Power of Attorney. I live in Australia most of the time and Vess, a Customer Service... I live in Australia most of the time and Vess, a Customer Service Adviser at the Didcot branch, has gone out of her way to help me manage six different accounts. Taking into account an eleven hour time difference Vess has always responded to my emails or messages left by the following day. Read more Read less

    I really appreciate Newbury Building Society still using pass books, whilst also having the options to manage savings through the app, or online. I am... I really appreciate Newbury Building Society still using pass books, whilst also having the options to manage savings through the app, or online. I am always happy to get in touch as your staff are friendly and very helpful whether, in person, or, over the phone. On one occasion, when a less experienced staff member was unsure of some information it was reassuring to see that they were honest and had the confidence to ask for advice. I also really appreciate that anything that has been discussed and required further action in branch has always been followed through within an appropriate time-scale - no reminders have been needed. There is obviously good back-up when any issues occur with a computer in branch, but it would be wonderful if this was needed less frequently. (perhaps it's just when I go in).
