Unbeatable face to face service

Opening hours are fantastic on the high street. I can see a person face to face, they still have passbooks and have qualified savings advisers who are able to give advice, whether over the counter service or in a private office. Reviewed on: 12th March 2026

Newbury Building Society Didcot

Went into my local branch today to enquire about an ISA. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was offered an appointment with Vess immediately. I found Vess very helpful and professional. Everything was explained clearly to me which made the whole process very easy. Reviewed on: 11th March 2026

Always there when you need them

Difficulties in opening account

We wanted to set up a joint savings account, a senior saver account. the online form was quite long and when we got to the end we were not permitted to open the account. The staff were extremely helpful, but the process was slow and lacked detailed explanation. Reviewed on: 27th February 2026

I save with Newbury for two main reasons.

I save with Newbury for two main reasons. 1. They pay very competitive interest rates and 2. Most importantly you can deal and speak with people, not automated chatbots. You can readily get answers to your particular issue not a standardised and irrelevant response from a machine. This makes dealing with Newbury so much easier and quicker and so much less frustrating. Reviewed on: 18th February 2026
