Review of the NHS Credit Union, Loans:

Inflexible and expensive

I had misfortune to have to use loan for IT purchase via NHS employer. Ended up paying more interest and more tax than if I had just bought through commercial loan. It may suit some but don’t assume because it is Credit Union that it will be beat commercial rate or offer flexibility. Reviewed on: 29th June 2020

friendly staff.

When I applied for a loan the lady was very nice and explained the different amounts it would cost depending on the length of time I wished to take the loan over. Nothing was to much bother for her. this shows good training and staff taking a pride in their job. Reviewed on: 24th June 2020

Great service

The NHS credit union has been great. They accepted me for a loan and allowed me to clear my debts and feel more in control. The only thing I feel could be better is the interest rates for debt consolidation as it's quite high, on comparison to their other loans, and you cannot take a different type if you want to clear any debts. First class service

I took a loan to pay off some debts at the end of the term I also had £3000 in savings which enabled me to put this towards a new car. First time in my life ive achieved suxh savings! Thank you credit union Reviewed on: 24th June 2020

Loan has made me a savvy saver!

I cannot recommend the NHS credit union highly enough. They approved a loan which allowed me to consolidate existing debt. The approach requires you save while repaying the loan which has completely changed my approach to money. Since paying off the loan I have continued to save with the credit union.
