Cant get my ISA money back

1
I have online ISA with them. It was easy to put it in but its impossible to get it back, They are coming up with hundreds of exuses for not letting me having my £ 1.500 back. It was my late husband gift. Its an online investment and no papers should get involved but they demand physical papers from me like statements, checks from different banks. I provided them with one of my banks details but its not enough for them. They want now to put their nose into other my bank account statement. What do they look for? Why it should be so difficult to get my own money back? I do really start thinking that some criminals got over the PO. I am afraid of them and dont know what to do. I need my money. Savings - terrible customer service

1
Highly unresponsive 'customer service', you call for help and the whole experience is negative, 'we can't, we don't, we have no idea when...', no initiative or 'we can't do that but we can do this', they have no idea of SLAs in dealing with customer correspondence, I was told "it will be done when they get around to it', this was in response to a letter they had signed for receipt of 4 days earlier to give me access to my money yet still not actioned and no indication when it will be. Telling them that I am in severe financial hardship without access to my account meant absolutely nothing, just incredibly poor customer service with antiquated paper based systems, don't touch them with a barge pole! Dreadful long delay in ISA transfer

1
It is now 4 weeks since i asked The Post Office to have my ISA transferred to a different provider. They have rejected my request 4 times now for one reason or another. I have lost interest in the meantime as the ISA is sitting in a holding account. I have had to keep phoning them up to ask why it has not been transferred. The most recent excuse was apparently due to the fact that the new bank doen't accept cheques. What banks today do business with paper cheques? I think they want to keep my money. Disgraceful. I am still waiting for this to be sorted out. I will not be putting any more money into a Post office ISA. Reviewed on: 21st June 2021

Appalling Customer Service

1
I have been a Post Office Customer with an ISA Savings Account since 2014. When I received my recent statment I found that the Iintersest rate on my ISA had reverted to 0.1 per cent. When I rang Customer Services yesterday to enquire why the interest rate had changed I was told that they had sent me a letter on the 8th October 2020 that the interest rate would revert to 0.1 per cent if they didnt hear from me.. This letter was never received by me, although they insisted the notification had been sent. I have in the past had letters delivered by Royal Mail to neighbours several doors down from me, and the Cornovirus pandemic has also had an affect on deliveries by Royal Mail. I phoned their Customer Services yesterday to advise them that the letter that was sent on 8th October was never received, but after a long wait whilst the Customer Services person I spoke to talked to his superior I was told there was nothing they could do to reverse the situation, to reinstate my ISA Policy at the rate I was originally receiving of 1.15 % . So I cancelled the policy. Perhaps they could for future incidents like these in the current pandemic crisis at least send an e-mail as a reminder or even another reminder letter in case the first norification is not received by post. I would never invest my savings with the Post Office again and would caution anyone else thinking of doing so. Reviewed on: 5th February 2021

Bad

1
Very bad value for money and earn basically no interest Reviewed on: 10th August 2017

Dont like the pay in and out.

3
Getting your money is by using the phone , staff are very friendly . In the post office using a paper card to pay in often gets torn and ripped they seriously need to change how people pay in and take out there money.. other than that a great service. Reviewed on: 5th December 2016

Good Interest Rates

5
Cash ISA's are not too popular any more because of the dismal interest rates they pay. But I took out one with The Post Office, and I'm getting 1.5% with a bonus of 0.85% for a year. Pretty good in my opinion, and it was easy to set up. Reviewed on: 25th August 2015

Difficult to track money!!!

3
Switch ISAs to Post Office (to get best rate available on Instant Access (1.41%), but difficult/time consuming to transfer money in/out or to follow my funds on a statement. Reviewed on: 14th August 2015

I was upset that the original price on the website changed as too many applied

I think if an isa offer is limited to people it should be stated up front. Reviewed on: 21st April 2015
