Applied for a post office credit card, stated I would get interest free for 6 months on balance transfer, Just got my first statement from capital one and they charged me over £20 interest, besides a transfer fee of almost £40 (which was not the problem). Spoke to capital one, they stated the card is not eligible for interest free period. Why would one transfer a balance, pay a transfer fee and the interest, which is more than the interest on the card I transferred from. It’s now gone for a dispute resolution. To be honest the post office is still offering interest free on balance transfers for upto 12 months, but it appears capital one have not been told of this promotion. I feel I’ve been scammed and will endeavour to clear it very soon and then close the account. The post office should be ashamed, of what they are doing. How many other people have been scammed in this way and just accepted it, due to their financial situation. Read more Read less

When I went online to carry out maturity instructions on the Saturday I was confronted with a zero balance with no information as to where my money had gone and no way of finding out. In this age of fraud and scams I was worried. I put in a complaint due to the stress I had suffered over the weekend. The person investigating the complaint, in my opinion, did not take the complaint seriously as there was no sign of a small gesture of goodwill which a decent, professional company would have not hesitated to offer Read more Read less

Post Office Travel Insurance: If I could give this company a zero, I would. Do not use this company unless you want to be given the runaround; be asked for multiple bits of paperwork over a six week period and then after submitting it all be told you had done it wrong or incompletely; be handled by 8+ different people, none of whom have all of the relevant paperwork that they have asked for; have it be implied that you are trying to game the system when you increasingly have the impression that they just do not want to pay out. Save yourself having to get a Xanax prescription and pay a bit more to another company instead. Read more Read less

Blocked my card no notice and now they have a substantial amount of my money I’m not able to access abroad. Contacted customer services gave the ID AGAIN!!!! And three days later still no working card. It is lucky I had other funds and cards because they have proved to me their service is completely unreliable. I am praying I can get my money back on return to uk. Read more Read less

Purchased the Post Office travel money card in good faith. A complete disaster from beginning to end. The app showed the money was in the account, but could not use the card in France. Declined on every attempt to use it. PIN blocked though it was the issued number. Fortunately I had the foresight to have Euros in cash and prepaid travel. When I got home, the physical card registered €0 yet the app showed the true balance. Went to my local village Post Office where they managed to sort it out after 45 minutes and several phone calls. Thank goodness for the local Post office operatives who do care about their customers. Read more Read less
