Post Office credit card gave me a chance to build my credit when others wouldn’t. The application was quick, and I was approved with a sensible limit that increased over time. The app is really handy – I can check my balance, get alerts, and make payments easily. I’ve found everything to be clear and transparent, with helpful reminders so I never miss a payment. It’s helped me take control of my finances and improve my credit score. While it doesn’t come with flashy perks, it does exactly what I needed: a reliable card to rebuild my credit. I’d recommend it to anyone starting out or rebuilding their credit history. Read more Read less

I woke at 05.00 to a kitchen ceiling leaking water onto the kitchen laminated floor and a steady dripping throught the downlighters and palster board. Turned water and electricity off, threw towels onto floor and ran upstairs to locate leak. Pipes go from airing cupboard under floor in back bedroom in to bathroom. No leaks visible in bathroom, cut bedroom carpet to get access to pipes but found no leaks. Went back to kitchen and removed one plaster board of ceiling showing wettest at outer wall below bathroom. Presumed turning water off had stopped leak. Called insurance 'Emergency' number and a Servowarm team turned up within 40mins, looked where I had looked and told me that if I could find the leak they could come back and fix it (I said that if I could find the leak, I could fix it) 5 mins after arriving they left. With pipes exposed, I turned the water back on but found no leak. After 24 hours of no further leakage and still unaware where the leak was, I poured a jug of water against the bathroom outer wall and saw the leak appear through the kitchen ceiling. The two sources of water here appear to be the shower or the washbasin, however the pipes are sound and dry. The conclusion I came to was that the washbasin tap had not been full turned off over night and through a design flaw of the sink, water tracked down the stem of the tap across the back of the sink onto the floor and through to the kitchen ceiling and floor. I informed the insurer (Ageas) the above information and asked about claiming for the water damage and damage done while investigating the leak. A very nice lady looked into my Gold Plus 'policy wording' ..and informed me that it looked like 'I caused the damage' and therefor couldn't claim. I despute that the wording under What is Not Covered:- "Criminal acts or deliberate damage or loss caused by you, your family or anyone living with you" is applicable, because it was 'not deliberate'. However that appears to be the end of it. I will now fix it all myself, but will never buy anything from the Post Office or underwritten by Aegeas ever again and urge others to think long and hard about doing so. This is a salutary lesson for me, that brings me to an inevitable conclusion that insurance is a rip-off. In future I will only take out the absolute minimum insurances (for anything) and only where it is mandatory. Read more Read less

While the cash ISA rate was competitve a year ago, the hassle of having to sign in via web as no app available was a pain each time as so longwinded Then when I withdrew the large amount on a weekend, I received no confirmation of the withdrawl on the site or via email until today (2 days later). Hopeless service and still no response from customer services. In this modern digital.age, they need to step up and get with it! Read more Read less

Avoid: Gross Negligence & Dishonest Customer Service

I am writing this review to issue a severe warning about the appalling service at the Moorgate Post Office branch and its subsequent catastrophic customer... I am writing this review to issue a severe warning about the appalling service at the Moorgate Post Office branch and its subsequent catastrophic customer service response. On March 27th, 2025, during my visit to the Moorgate branch (45 London Wall, EC2M 5TE), despite providing clear instructions for a parcel drop-off using a valid QR code for a Tracked Drop Off service, the counter employee (a woman in her 40s/50s) incorrectly applied a return label to my package (Original tracking: TQ 7541 3656 1GB). This was done without my knowledge or confirmation, and despite my repeated explanations of the service I required. Her demeanor was unhelpful and dismissive throughout. As a direct result of this Post Office employee's error, my parcel was misdelivered and is now lost. The nightmare continued with Post Office Customer Service (Complaint Ref: CAS-4016972-R1T6G0). Despite providing all necessary evidence and numerous detailed emails, they have been utterly evasive, contradictory, and unhelpful. My complaint was initially 'resolved' due to alleged 'missing information' (which I had provided), then put into an 'appeal' process. Shockingly, this appeal was then denied with absurd and illogical excuses that attempted to shift blame onto me, claiming the QR code I presented must have been incorrect, despite having proof of my intended transaction and payment. Furthermore, I contacted the Postal Redress Service (POSTRS) for external resolution, only to be informed that they do not handle complaints against Post Office Ltd. directly for operational errors like this. This highlights a critical gap in accountability for Post Office's own services. The Post Office has shown a complete lack of responsibility, competence, and basic customer care. They actively hinder resolution and provide zero support when their own staff make costly errors. I strongly advise everyone to avoid the Moorgate Post Office branch and frankly, be extremely wary of using Post Office Ltd. services if you value your parcels or expect any form of accountability. This has been an incredibly frustrating, time-consuming, and costly experience, and I would hate for anyone else to go through the same ordeal Read more Read less
