We started a large investment with NS&I as income stream but the interest rate has declined far below (and faster), than any other investment houses! The main compliant though is they are taking up to seven working days to pay interest on monthly interest now regularly! It is never next day like others and if you hit a weekend forget it, nothing happens for another three days! What a government run travesty, how do they expect people to support it. Don't waste your time and money go elsewhere. Read more Read less

Premium Bond 17th April 2026

The process is very simple, the information is easy to read and I get more back than I would if my money was in an ISA

    Do you feel lucky?

Better chances with more saved, but also missing regular interest. Just a chance to win a large amount, all depends on how lucky you feel

Premium Bonds are worth holding, I think....

Returns on Premium Bonds are generally average, with the slim chance of above average winnings each month. Winnings are not taxable which is a bonus.

I bought £30 worth in the early 1960s (when they were £1) and have had several wins of £25.. Last December I won £25 and this April another £25. Just luck of the draw.. I now have £575 in as I leave them to be reinvested, and am thinking of putting more money into them.. It’s nice when you receive an envelope telling you that you have won £25. Read more Read less
