Making travel easier

I would recommend this travel card to anyone who needs flexibility with currency and is worried about bank fees. Very easy to set up and use! Reviewed on: 27th April 2026

Quick and easy.

I popped into the store, the assistant showed me the app on his phone and explained it all, he helped me download the app and then sorted the actual card for me. Next day I activated my card and it was easy to use on my holiday. Reviewed on: 27th July 2025

Travel Card works, was accepted everywhere, but be aware - Very POOR exchange rates.

I needed a currency travel card quickly, as a system update had caused issues, with my usual provider, which I have used for years. I collected the card from my local post office, and topped it up with the MINIMUM 50 euros, as the exchange rate in branch was very poor. Their advertised rates on compare websites for ordering travel money was quite competitive, so thought I would top it up from their APP I had dowloaded, at a better rate. It took 24 hrs for the card to be activated, which was now the day before I travelled. But here's lies the bad news, and the reason for my 3 star review, the rates within the APP or the Travel Card website, are nowhere near the market rates, (and now you are locked in, no option - I'm sure thats the idea) And there are no better rates for the more you order, as with most companies, just one flat rate. The market when I travelled was around 1.13 (euros) with most companies, the APP was giving me just 1.10. and near the end of my holiday the rates had dropped to about 1.1259 my top ups were at 1.09. However, the card was accepted everywhere I went, restaurants, shops, car hire and even the Hotel. There were no horror stories to report (which I had read in advance) about the card not being accepted, it worked well, just be very AWARE you are being penalised on the rates. Punishment for stolen money

I was in Slovakia when I found out money was stolen from my post office travel card. Unauthorized transaction from London Uber Eat. When I arrived back home to the UK, the post office travel card created such a situation where it is not possible to claim stolen money back. They ask tons of my documents and proves. When I sent them, they "couldn't open them" , asking me to resend those documents again and again. It looks they PUNISH people for THEIR failure to protect our money... Reviewed on: 11th June 2023

Travel card

We brought a post office travel card from our local office, accatvated it ,but it would not link on the app rang some many time same answer sorry it will take 24 to 48 ,four weeks later still no joy . Reviewed on: 26th July 2022

Terrible

Doesn't allow access to balances or transactions while travelling. App always states Error code 6004. Never again. Awful. Reviewed on: 24th May 2022

NEVER AGAIN

I tried for a week to get my card verified, even after emailing copies of passport and drivers licence, because it wasn't verified, I couldn't use the app or add money. Despite phoning the relevant phone number, 4 four times and being assured that the problem has been "escalated" - here we are 4 days before we go on holiday and still it hasn't been done. I was told to phone today (Saturday) and that it would definitely be sorted - of course it is now the weekend so they couldn't contact the office who deals with queries. Thanks post office, I will now have to take all cash in dollars - unless you make good your promises by Tuesday. NOT IMPRESSED. Reviewed on: 30th April 2022

First saving account was amazing

Great offer, bit confusing

This was a great offer from the Post Office. It was confusing however, as the figures agreed were not on the paperwork when the credit card arrived. It took a phone call to clarify that the special offer would apply. Reviewed on: 30th May 2017
