Don’t recommend this bank at all. I have business and personal accounts with them. Since last year the service got worse and I lost more... Don’t recommend this bank at all. I have business and personal accounts with them. Since last year the service got worse and I lost more that £20k since last year between rejecting payments, technical issues, and many other excuses they give to customers. They give wrong claims number and then they say we can’t find the claim. The waiting time to answer the calls is between one hour to 90 minutes. Worst bank in the world and would never recommend it even to my enemies. Read more Read less

Balance Transfer Credit Card • 20th August 2026

I recently applied for a 16 month 0% interest balance transfer credit card from the Bank of Scotland in June. I am an existing customer... I recently applied for a 16 month 0% interest balance transfer credit card from the Bank of Scotland in June. I am an existing customer with the bank. My husband and I have a mortgage with them. The application process was straightforward and the credit card was. approved promptly. As a loyal customer I felt the bank treated me well & the credit card offers were excellent. I recently left my job for a new one that was misrepresented so I left quickly and ending up unemployed unexpectedly. I wanted to pay off an Argos Buy Now Pay Later card which has been a nightmare. Unfortunately Argos Card (now Argos Pay) did not allow me to do a balance transfer because it is a store card (which I didn’t realise when I bought the dining chairs I used the card for last October). So I am now stuck with high interest Argos Pay who have taken £100 interest despite me paying off £300 towards the chairs. However, I do now have an excellent 0% interest credit card from Bank of Scotland!! Read more Read less

    Their website which allows interaction between the 3 brands of Lloyds, Bank of Scotland and Halifax is faulous. Even without that, the way the information...     I have had my Cash ISA for a couple of years in which I have invested some monies from an inheritance..I am aware I could...     I have received a renewal quote which is £100 more than last year and I want to cancel. However, the only way to cancel the... I have received a renewal quote which is £100 more than last year and I want to cancel. However, the only way to cancel the policy is by phone and they simply leave you on hold and do not answer. I imagine if I ring every day until the policy renewal date, I won't be able to get through. Complaining to BoS is no good as they don't want to know. This is in my opinion a scam. They will take my money and I have no way to prevent it. Avoid at all costs. Read more Read less
