Bank of Scotland value their customers

I recently applied for a 16 month 0% interest balance transfer credit card from the Bank of Scotland in June. I am an existing customer with the bank. My husband and I have a mortgage with them. The application process was straightforward and the credit card was. approved promptly. As a loyal customer I felt the bank treated me well & the credit card offers were excellent. I recently left my job for a new one that was misrepresented so I left quickly and ending up unemployed unexpectedly. I wanted to pay off an Argos Buy Now Pay Later card which has been a nightmare. Unfortunately Argos Card (now Argos Pay) did not allow me to do a balance transfer because it is a store card (which I didn’t realise when I bought the dining chairs I used the card for last October). So I am now stuck with high interest Argos Pay who have taken £100 interest despite me paying off £300 towards the chairs. However, I do now have an excellent 0% interest credit card from Bank of Scotland!! Reviewed on: 20th August 2026

First class Bank

I have been with the Bank of Scotland for a go number of years and always found them very easy to deal with. Reviewed on: 12th August 2022

Friendly staff and ease of use

Very helpful and made it easy for a complete novice to understand

I wanted to consolidate a couple of my old credit cards which I'd been paying for at the minimum payment so I contact Bank of Scotland (with whom I'd taken out a new credit card recently). They couldn't have been more helpful and guided me through the process step by step. I'm 67 years old and do not have a 'financial' mind! Hence the two old cards still existing and costing me money. I thought Bank of Scotland staff were great and they really impressed this old bird! Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Fabulous Credit Card!

Easy to set up and balance transfer made promptly. Can view my Credit card balance either on their website or through my online account with Halifax! Assisted with increasing limit. Helpful and friendly! Reviewed on: 11th May 2017
