We had a dvt medical emergency in Zambia on 2/5/26. We pre-advised AvantiGo ( or, actually, Ergo services as it turned out), got permission for hospitalisation, kept them informed during the week’s hospital stay, filled in our claim pack promptly, submitted all paperwork - did everything in fact exactly as required by the policy. The hospital did not recognise AvantiGo. We had to pay up front ourselves. Ergo acknowledged receiving our claim paperwork and that nothing further was required. Apart from that acknowledgement we received ZERO feedback or information. Despite calling them 5 times. We finally received our claimed expenses today, 31 July. We travel often and have used many insurance companies. This was the first ever claim we needed to make and it was handled appallingly. We will never use AvantiGo again. We advise anybody reading this to AVOID AvantiGo. Read more Read less

Excellent for annual couples insurance where one person has a long term disability

We had 2 hold rings a special Onyx & A heart Ruby stolen from our suitcase on the flight from Rhodes Airport to Norwich. BEWARE... We had 2 hold rings a special Onyx & A heart Ruby stolen from our suitcase on the flight from Rhodes Airport to Norwich. BEWARE as it's not something we would normally do but because we had a late flight we had to put them in the case as couldn't have a late check out whilst we spent tge day on tge beach. The case was padlocked and on return to Norwich Airport found the case clasp had been broken & the padlock missing and the 2 Rings. But Avanti doesn't cover any jewellery in a suit case.
