I have had a great experience with Bell Insurance. I signed up to Bell when I bought my 1st ever car. At the beginning I was anxious as I had to get a black box put in my car in order to keep the price down however it did actually teach me to be a better driver. Bell also keep me up to date with plenty of time as to when I need to renew my insurance ect so I never forget. I would highly recommend this company as their insurance prices are great . Unreliable and Unprofessionall

Unreliable and Unprofessional I had an extremely disappointing experience with Bell Car Insurance, and I would strongly advise against using their services. After my car was involved in an accident, they wrote off my vehicle without even bothering to conduct a proper inspection. It was clear they were trying to minimize their payout rather than provide fair treatment. When I tried to contact them for clarification or assistance, their customer service was virtually non-existent. I was met with delay tactics and a complete lack of transparency. No genuine offers of help or support were provided, making the entire process unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. If you're considering Bell Car Insurance, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. This company seems more focused on avoiding responsibilities than actually helping their customers in times of need. Avoid them at all costs! Reviewed on: 24th September 2024

Had to pay £8.50 to return Plug n Drive equipment (at their request) plus proof of postage (or else pay £50). Customer Service took ages to (pretend to) consider request for Freepost envelope - so extra phone costs too! V Unhelpful Reviewed on: 6th October 2023

Nightmare

Nightmare! I had what it seems like an obvious case of the other driver being at fault: hitting me in the back from a side road. I submitted all the info and the details of the other driver and their insurance and waited for the resolution. 4.5 months later and still zero real action on my claim, allegedly it is 'with solicitors', but it seems like they haven't even reached out to the insurer of the driver at fault (which they admitted 2.5 months ago). Due to ongoing claim I couldn't replace them with a different insurer for a reasonable price and had to pay £600 excess to get my car fixed. Avoid them! Reviewed on: 14th August 2023

The "Whish" of all car insurance companies

A NIGHTMARE! My car had light damage and scratches and they found it as a write-off without even communicating this to me. Every time you want to get hold of someone so you can ask about your claim you have to wait hours on end just for someone to answer and when they do they tell you it's a different department and give you endless apologies. It's been 2 weeks since my car accident and I have days when they don't even answer the phone. I asked for a callback and it never came. Don't put your hopes up to get a courtesy car, it's never going to happen even if you had it on your insurance policy. Reviewed on: 2nd February 2023

Complete Rip Off

Took out a policy with this company. A week later I received an email telling me I had to install a black box. I've been driving for 20 years so no need for this. I was then told that my policy would cost 50% more without said black box. Cancelled policy within 14 days but they still debited my account as they disputed the cancellation saying that it had not been done. This company is totally unethical using a call centre in India for customer services. They still argued that in my call I had not cancelled. Luckily for me I had kept a transcript of my call to cancel. Nevertheless it still cost me £102.51 to cancel. I wish I had read the reviews before taking out their policy. Shame on you admiral insurance

If I could I would piss on the governement officials that know about such a dodgy company and still allow it to "serve" the public. Shame on admiral insurance. Only after I signed up I realised what a mistake. How I knew about the spy device was when I received a POSTAL letter telling me that my postal address is incorrect, da! so they cant send me the spy device. I called them up and cancelled my policy immediatly only to be bombarded with all the fees, I agreed to everything just to get rid of the filth. Imagine making a claim!!!!!. Poor staff are very polite, I feel for them. In simple terms, the spy device is like the spy bracellet that is fitted in crimilas legs. You are in their eyes a criminal. I FEEL LIKE I AM BEING ROBBED BY THIS COMPANY!

I am having absolutely the worst experience with this company! I feel like they've abducted my bank account and that they have the right to just take money from it whenever they want! I feel trapped with this company and powerless to do anything about it. I was hit by another driver on my driver's side rear door while on a roundabout lane closest to the exit I was going to take. Both my lane and the lane the other car came from could be used to exit the roundabout but somehow the other driver decided to come to my lane and hit me, causing my car to spin in the middle of the roundabout and when it stopped it was facing the opposite direction. I took pictures and sent them to Bell. Since then, I had so many calls with them and I had to explain to several different people EVERYTHING over and over again, even though everything was already written in their file! Every time I'd spend an hour on the phone explaining all the details again, just because they couldn't be bothered to read the file. This incident happend when my policy renewal date was almost due and of course they took the chance to increase my premium my nearly 200 pounds! They had just opened the claim and they were nowhere near having a conclusion. It has been 6 weeks already and they sent me another e-mail today, asking for the same information I already gave them so many times!! This just makes me think they are nowhere close to resolving this. When I complained about the raise in premium, they said they had to quote me as having had an accident AT FAULT just because I have an open claim!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I was hit by someone else a couple of weeks before my renewal and now I have to pay as if it was my fault, just because they are still investigating (or so they say)!! They just charged me directly through direct debit and there was nothing I could do! This is just disrespectful and unfair! They should have to wait until they have a conclusion before they can raise my premium and charge me for that. They don't even have a maximum amount of time they are required to resolve the claim, so they are not even worried! The money is already IN THEIR POCKETS! I also asked if I could get another quote, to which they responded that they couldn't change my policy premium since a claim was open. Well this is just a LIE because when I was unfortunate enough to get a speeding ticket shortly after, they were very happy to raise my premium AGAIN (retroactively!!) and inform me they were going to charge me through direct debit again! When it suits them, they can change the premium and charge me directly even if a claim is open and the renewal premium was already paid for and if it doesn't suit them, they just say they can't change the premium because there is an open claim. I feel TRAPPED in a situation I can't do anything about, despite my many phone calls with them and I feel lied to and robbed, as they say and do whatever they see fit and just take my money. I am seriouly considering paying more to switch to another insurance company just so that I don't have to deal with them anymore! Reviewed on: 6th December 2019
