Awful insurer, would not recommend for cycle insuran...

Awful insurer, would not recommend for cycle insurance at all. Seek another provider at all costs, if you do have an accident or have your bike stolen (like I did) they will not pay out. In my experience, not to be trusted. Reviewed on: 8th October 2024

Total waste of time and money

Total waste of time to even get to the point of being able to file a claim for a bike which got stolen, only to be told months after the event that my bike was considered to be "abandoned" because it was at parked at the station for over 10 hours. I mean, using your bike to get to the railway station, get the train to get to work and come back 10 hours later is not my idea of abandonment but what do I know - I am not in the insurance business for a reason. Parked bike for over 10 hours is cosidered "abandoned"

Wasted months with my claim for a stolen mountain bike only to be told that it was invalid as my bike was "abandoned" as it was parked form more than 10 hours. I wish I was aware of this before taking the policy out. After all in most scenarios - going to your local train station and then to work, going for a drink and picking up your bike next day wiil most likely mean your bike will be abandened. Terrible, really not in keeping with a good service...

Terrible, really not in keeping with a good service and not what I paid for. Have ended up having to make a formal complaint and now to the ombudsman. Would recommend any other provider rather than these. Reviewed on: 12th July 2024

Still waiting for my teferral

Cycleplan make a big deal about paying a referral fee. I’ve referred people who have taken out plans and so far never received a referral payment. Essentially I did your work for you and got nothing. Back to yellow jersey at renewal I think Reviewed on: 8th September 2023

After spending a hit of time understanding cycle insurance (it was new to me) I ended up going with the initial quote provided by cycleplan. it was a good balance of cost effectiveness and cover. I already was leabing towards them to be honest as they offered me 2 weeks free with the cycle to work scheme. definitely recommend. Reviewed on: 18th July 2022
