Review of the H&T, Pawnbrokers:

Double charged

on 4/1/2025 I obtained travel money to the value of £507 from the Newcastle branch in the Grainger market There were problems with the card machine and I now find I have been charged twice! I have contacted their complaint dept via the web form - no response I have contacted them on their complaints email - no response Do they care that I'm losing interest because of the mobney they've taken - no Do they care that I might go overdrawn - no Do they want to keep my money as long as possible - yes, probably forever Awful company Reviewed on: 7th January 2025

Excellent Service

Following a house move we found various items of jewellery that had not been worn for years and to be fair would remain in a drawer until the next move. In this instance I wanted to part with a Gentleman’s wrist watch and rather than go through the hassle of eBay opted to take it to H&T. Our sales lady, Debbie, was friendly and knowledgeable about the type of watch that I was selling, she explained the sales process and asked for a history of the watch. Debbie took pictures of the watch that were sent to their head office for validation and 30 mins later made me an offer much higher than I was expecting.
