Went inside to try it on and was advised I needed to have a photo ID. So I drove home, got my passport, went back to the shop and tried on the watch. I loved it and agreed to purchase it. Got to the till and was advised that they had displayed the wrong price and it was actually £2600.00 (big difference). They wasted my whole afternoon. Complained to head office and was advised they would sell me the watch for £2400 as a good will gesture. I fail to see any good will in charging me £2400 for a watch which was priced at £995. I wrote a complaint to their complaints team, as the advised and chased this after 4 weeks. They advised me their timescales are upto 8 weeks, so after 8 weeks I chased again and was advised there is nothing more they are prepared to do. Took in an some gold and totalled up nearly 1000 pound, they said they'd bank transfer and it would go straight in to the account, by the time I'd got home and checked we had recieved no payment, phoned them up and they said they'd been having an issue with Lloyd's Bank customers, so we waited til the day after and still no payment, contacted Lloyd's bank and they've said everything is fine and nothing should of stopped it going through.. it's been 3 days now, still not recieved any payment. They are always extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and sensitive to each customer’s individual requirements. If, as in my instance, a customer is taking out a pawnbroking loan, the staff will take every measure to inform the customer of their repayment options, and of how to pay less total interest by following a repayment schedule tailored to the customer’s individual circumstances. The staff’s laudable personal qualities and professional, comprehensive approach to their work are especially important in a business such as pawnbroking, and proved to be even more so during the recent pandemic, when their concise and reassuring communication with pawnbroking borrowers such as myself was outstanding and greatly appreciated. In conclusion, I highly recommend H & T if you are contemplating taking out a pawnbroking loan, and I particularly recommend Chad and Janice, and their Manager Tina, who all work at the Greenock branch. Don't trust this company!! They have sold 6 items of jewellery to an auction On 6 different contracts and 6 different items ranging from £100... Don't trust this company!! They have sold 6 items of jewellery to an auction On 6 different contracts and 6 different items ranging from £100 to £400 all items were sold in auction. The fishy thing is all 6 different contracts ended being £10.26 in deificiet. That's like winings the lottery. What are the chances of all 6 items sold at different prices leaves £10.26 in deificiet. I made a complaint to h&t and asked to see the statements off goods that were sold to prove they haven't messed about with the figures. I was told by a manager that he will need about 1 week or 2 to gather the statements together from auction. The funny thing 1 month later I get a final response letter from h&t saying we are not obliged to show you proof of sale of your goods. Now work it out for yourself I say this company is messing about with figures and blatantly robbing me and probably loads more customers. I'm starting court action I'm bypassing the ombudsman going for cutthroat straight away. As I'm adamant that h&t are scamming me and all other customers. My advice is stay away from h&t as there unfair and not straight. I came into difficulty and pawned my goods and couldn't afford to pay back in time. But this doesn't give h&t the right to give me made up paper work showing under sold jewellery. This is corrupt and I will go through every possible way to expose this to the public.
