Charitable Contribution

I was impressed the fixed rate bond we offered meant that NBS would also donate to two charities supporting great causes (Shelter and Emmanuel House). One of the charities was local to the NBS community and focussed on homelessness which is an issue that affects Nottingham (and other towns nearby). I felt like we made a real difference. Fabulous customer service

Nottingham Building Society has been excellent - the service provided by branch colleagues has been super in helping me open my fixed rate account - which has also provided me with a great rate too! Reviewed on: 3rd February 2025

Having to explain why I want my money - disgusting

I rang up today to ask for some money out of an account. I hadn't realised it was a fixed rate as the money has been sat there for 6 years and I haven't done anything with it. I was asked why I wanted the money - I lied and said it was for a penis extension for my husband and breast enlargement for myself. This is classed as 'medical' nearly died laughing.. Howver, on the serious side they wanted me to tell them what I wanted my own money for. Needless to say when the account matures in February I will withdraw the oot and find a new home for it. Pathetic rates of interest and latest cut hidden

Yet another cut in interest rate , 0.25% before tax , After being with this BS for some years i am leaving to a another building society which gives a decent amount of interest even in these hard times. The only contact i have had from this company is about AGM,s everything else is kept quiet , not even offering better rates Reviewed on: 25th February 2016
