Good but too much parting out to other companies

Octagon themselves are a good company to buy from. Their customer service is prompt, and as I was local to their head office I was invited to swing by in person with any queries if I wanted to rather than email back and forth. Friendly, helpful staff. However when there was an issue with taking my payment they had parted the finance out to a third party who were dreadful, and this for me reflected back on Octagon. Shoddy service

Don't bother

Useless and unhelpful as an innocent party whose car was parked and run into by a drink driver I found octagon my insurer nothing short of useless and caused me stress and loss of a days work due to their complete lack of assistance . Greedy!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Stay well away!

I've been with them for almost 6 yrs. All was good until I had an accident recently which was my fault admittedly! They immediately put a hold on my claim saying it's because I didn't tell them of a change in jobs!!! I don't & have never used my car for work as it's near & easier to walk plus I drive company cars so don't need myown for this purpose! The mealage proves this! 2 yrs old & only 7000 miles!!!!! Terrible stay away

The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life.

Where to begin... first of all they charged me £170 just to change my address when I moved house. Then I had a fraudulent insurance claim against me. I pay Octagon £600 to represent and protect me, I had to arrange an engineer to come out and confirm I hadn't been in an accident myself, even then they couldn't close the claim until the third party had responded - they give them an SLA of a year to respond and if it hasn't closed down on my account by the time my insurance ren... Appalling. In one word....AVOID!!! (Cheaper but not worth it)

I wouldn't even know where to start: - Customer service is appalling, and non-existent - If they say they'll call you back, it means when pigs fly - They use a whole raft of sub-contractors for repairs and they don't attempt to coordinate ANY work - They've cost me a LOT of money in poor service Reviewed on: 5th October 2016

Customer Service Was Poor

After moving to high risk car insurance area in Birmingham, Octagon were the cheapest I could find for my car insurance however I was apprehensive as I had never heard of them before and found a few horror stories from other customers when looking at reviews of them on the Internet however as they were the cheapest and I could not afford any more, I went with them.
