Also my renewal quote is £630 the exact same as my previous car. I did the comparison quotes on Google and quotes from other insurers are at least £300 cheaper. So I am a community mental health nurse and about 6 weeks ago whilst on a visit I got caught in the floods. I drove my Jaguar through a puddle in the road I couldn’t avoid and then lost my power steering and mode control. I called the insurance and they said an engineer would come out to look at Damage. Next day engineer called me to say he would not be coming out because it’s a common fault. I asked him were he got his info he said Google. So I called Jaguar and they said this simply isn’t true. So I contacted my insurance again. They said he should have come out and would sort it out. But could not give me a courtesy car as they hadn’t looked at it. This went on for 5 weeks and in the end I had to tell them I have no choice but to get legal team involved. The next day my car was picked up. However, sill no courtesy car as the engineer is yet to turn up at the garage to look at my car. I need my car as I am a community mental health nurse I told them this but they simply don’t care. I have business insurance and pay for a courtesy car. I believe Aviva insurance are the underwriters. So stay clear of these. They still haven’t sorted this and I’m about to go into week 7. I renewed with this company and I can say the service I have received this time wasn’t the greatest. I called serval times for them... I renewed with this company and I can say the service I have received this time wasn’t the greatest. I called serval times for them to change my address even when changing it online and being charged an admin fee for it. Unfortunately my car was written off by another driver and it took 3months to get this sorted. I understand they had to deal with the other insurance company which took full blame of the accident so I am not sure why it took so long to deal with it. I had to chase and make complaints to get a response from anyone from any team as emails were not being answered. In one of my complaint I got a phone call and was offered a compensation sum to help sort out my complaint. And guess what?! I am still waiting for the payment which has now been over a month. Trying to get someone to talk to me or answer me has been very difficult. I decided not to renew this time and I was quick enough to get documents and for them to wash their hands of me but I am really not happy with the service I received.
