Avoid at all costs ive been insured with quote me happy for three years and all is fine untill you need to claim my car was hit by the third party non fault claim the damage was minor damaged on the rear offside wheelarch...Solus estimated the damage via photo's at £3,000 and said my car is only worth £2,000 and said they are writing it off, bearing in mind the cost of the repair has to be 50% more than the cars value so conviently it was £3,000. Yesterday the 3rd november i took it for a 2nd and 3rd assesment to two insurance accredited garages and was quoted £200 and £230 for the same work i rang quote me happy and apparently my and the other two bodywork repair garages opinion doesn't matter and if i continue with my claim my car will be written off so i have closed the claim and now have to pay for the repairs myself...and the quote me happy customer service was quite rude i wont be renewing my policy and neither will my son the cheapest isn't always the best

Competitively priced,easy to set up and manage. My problems began when I was in a crash that wasn't my fault. The claims people were really good, but sorting the cars on the account got passed back to support who only respond by email. They didn't seem to know what they were doing and gave multiple conflicting responses over what I should be doing. Their legal services partner is dreadful, the other side admitted liability after 3 months but 6 months on from the accident, I'm still fighting to get the medical reports & documents sorted out so they can maybe progress to negotiation with the other side. Definitely not impressed. Definitely won't be using this firm again.

Satisfied customer

Easy to apply for car insurance, no increases on the second year, infarct payment reduced. To me that's a fair company doing the right thing for its loyal customers. Easy to adjust policy via app. I am a very happy customer.

This company is an absolute joke you cannot get to speak to anyone - it all has to be done online. I had an accident and made a claim but when I found out it was weeks before an assessor could come and look at my car for the damage and then depending on how busy their chosen repair garage was (August I was quoted) and as this was in June and I was going away in July I decided to take it to a garage and pay privately. Also the earliest a hire car could be arranged was September.

I sent an email explaining this and said to take this claim off my record as I hadn't proceeded with it but surprise surprise my renewal has just come through showing 1 claim! As I have no intention of renewing with this useless company I need this claim removing off my record otherwise this will affect any price I am quoted.

Save your money don't be fooled by the price - this company is only good if you never have an accident but if you do be prepared to go without your motor for months on end

Took 6 months to get my car collected by one of there approved garages, and 7 weeks after being collected they have no idea when the part will be in stock to repair my car, gave me a tiny courtesy car that i can't fit all my kids in (my original car was a 7 seater, the courtesy car was 5) Quote me happy don't care, won't do anything to resolve this, have asked them for a hire car that can fit my whole family in due to the amount of time this has taken and they won't even respond. have had to cancel 3 holidays as can't go anywhere, plus there is no phone number to call to speak to someone, it's all online, awful, awful company, avoid

Soooooo easy

I love quotemehappy, their whole concept is amazing. Everything is online and you can change any details on your policy at the click of a button. They definitely are my favourite car insurance provider.

I reported a claim in the first week of June 2022, I gave Quote me Happy the third party details including their insurers, policy number and their claim reference, Quote me happy told me that the third party was insured with a different company, nearly two months on I have discovered that I was right all along and that the intellectually challenged call centre staff at Quote me happy had entered the reg of the third party incorrectly which flaged up a different insurer.
As a consequence my claim has been delayed and repairs to my vehicle may not happen until the autumn or winter. Not good enough.
This chaotic approach to insurance is symptomatic of a general decline in intellectual ability among the younger generation.God help us all.

Sold my car and tried to advise Quote me Happy on Web site. Unable to sign in, changed password still unable to sign in. Had to send a complaint as no other way to contact. Received a reply saying all now cleared. Still unable to sign in. Cancelled my direct debit so this stirred them into action and threatened me with action if I don't pay. What a waste this company is without an alternative point of contact.

Awful, wish to god I'd just paid an extra £20 and gone to a proper insurance company.
Avoid at all costs. Just because the premium is a fraction lower, its not cheaper in the long run. Just disgusted.

They renewed my car insurance without my instigation, taking money from my Paypal account. When I asked them to cancel it and have my money returned to me, it was £25 short which I can ill afford to lose. How much of their profits are made up from this practice, which feels very much like a scam to me. Automatic renewal should be stopped and made illegal.

Poor customer service

Left me without cover, could not contact them other than by email. Took 3 days to reply. I went elsewhere and they charged cancellation fee despite my car not being covered.

Then on top , there’s no way to contact them. I eventually found an email and never got a reply.
Not worth getting insurance from a place that doesn’t talk to you when help is needed nor reply to an email.
Their inconvenience outweighs the price savings. Pay more and get customer service

I don't think I should have had to pay cancellation fee as it was them who were not prepared to insure my new build which also had the standard 10 Yr guarantee and was probably less of a risk than my old house.
They are still looking into this.....tbc??

Below is the reply I have received from Carpenters, (solicitor quote me happy put you with) I’ve been pursuing this for months and it’s utterly ridiculous, I am entitled to my money back from the excess I had to pay for a non-fault because quote me happy never waived it! My car was parked at the time and an Asda delivery driver hit it! I didn’t sustain an injury, but I had to pay the garage excess when my car was fixed… he damaged an entire side of my vehicle!

The only form of communication is via email, which doesn’t appear to get responded to, or a chat facility which is totally dreadful and leaves you unable to get simple answers and banging your head against a brick wall. Just avoid and pay and extra £100 on your premium. I will be from now on.

Really good price but really bad service I would not recommend this service. Pay the extra £100 else were to get the proper service and insurance. If you have a accident they do not help you they do not communicate with you they VOID your policy instantly no phone call no communication HOWEVER they do email you very minimum information to say your insurance has been cancelled. After this I received a debt collectors letter for around £15000 claiming to take me to court unless i pay for an accident which was not my fault. Did not hear back from anyone for months and i had to to keep chasing and putting in complaints with AVIVA. This accident happen in 2018 and has only been looked into and solved now in 2021. DONT DO IT look else were with proper cover Admiral Direct line are much better and offer allot more security.
