The worst insurance company to deal with , when making a non fault claim. Happy to take your money on renewal , but that's it. This is a company that will send you from one person to another to discuss your claim, then a big sorry to say they cannot help you , as it's not in their script. However no managers or anyone with authority to talk to , as they cannot be approached. They even forgot that my car was in storage with them , yet I was receiving emails to say that the car is being repaired. IT's been over two weeks and a grand total of 16 hours on the phone with them and still NOTHING. Read more Read less

Absolutely Disgraceful Experience Absolutely Disgraceful Experience – Insult Added to Injury My car was written off after someone failed to stop at a crossroads. The other driver admitted full liability, so this should have been a straightforward claim. Instead, it’s turned into a complete nightmare. The insurance company’s offer for my vehicle is 25% less than what I paid for it in May this year, despite me having spent over £1,000 improving it since purchase. Their “justification” for the valuation was laughable — they compared my immaculate, well-maintained car to a damaged example with no leather interior, visible corrosion, multiple MOT advisories, and bodywork issues. I supplied every piece of evidence imaginable: photos, service history, receipts, comparable adverts — and their response was simply, “We’re sticking with our valuation.” No explanation, no logic, no fairness. Their only advice was to “go to the ombudsman.” I now find myself unable to replace my car with anything close to what I had. It’s financially crippling and deeply unfair, especially when the accident was entirely not my fault. To make matters worse, the representative I dealt with — Michael, from the Total Loss department — showed zero empathy or professionalism. His tone was cold, dismissive, and almost smug, as if he took pleasure in delivering such devastating news. He should be ashamed of the way he treats people. The whole experience has been utterly disgusting and is significantly impacting my mental health. If this company had even an ounce of integrity or compassion, they’d recognise the human impact of their actions. Instead, they’ve added insult to injury — both financially and emotionally. Be sure to agree a value for your car before insuring or you will be ripped off in a claim situation, regardless of it not being your fault. Read more Read less

They are the number one fraudsters of UKs insurance companies that are bad. They lie, their policies are inconsistent and their insurance policies are very expensive, yet ineffective in most cases. We got a black box from them, installed it well and correctly, only for us to get a mail that the blackbox needs to be return as it was not reading estimates even though it was reading from day 1 without any interference or removal. The increased price all of a sudden!!!! There are better ways that you can lie to unexpectedly and unnecessarily increase monthly price than to lie that what is working is not working after 2months without any touch. Admiral is a terrible and fraudulent insurance company. Runaway as you will surely regret their pricy and rubbish policies that are deceptive. Read more Read less

This company is absolutely dreadful to deal with. I hold a Platinum travel insurance policy with Admiral and perhaps naively, thought this would provide an enhanced level of service - I was wrong. I submitted a legitimate claim for lost luggage 6 weeks ago and Admiral keep coming back asking for the same documentation over and over again, in a repetitious, unreasonable and ignorant manner. The claim is not ‘high value’. Clearly this is a tactic to purposefully delay paying out claims which, in my opinion, could be a breach of contract. It’s basically just a game to them. Admiral change the goalposts at every available opportunity, will mislead you through the claims process and make it incredibly difficult to process your claim. I have raised internal complaints which remain open but can see this ending up with the FCA as Admiral is simply incompetent. I intend to bring a claim against Admiral through the small claims courts, once internal processes have concluded. Please avoid this company: my experience has been terrible and having read other reviews, it appears other customers have had very similar experiences. If you do have an outstanding claim and Admiral is applying these underhanded, unethical and purposeful tactics, don’t give up and keep pursuing the claim! Read more Read less

Refused a partial refund on my policy when I asked to cancel due to their inadequate customer service. They advised that "cancelling your policy now will not result in a refund, as this is outside the cooling off period" even though I had 231 days of the policy left. My reason for the cancellation request was that they refused my small claim for delayed baggage (5 days in Krakow with the clothes we stood up in) due to lack of specifically itemised receipts even though I provided credit card receipts and itemised list of necessary purchases. I eventually received my belongings 10 days after returning to the UK. Read more Read less

Absolutely terrible experience with [Admirla]. I took out travel insurance thinking I’d be protected if something got lost while on holiday — but that turned out to be completely false. I lost my reading glasses and reported it straight away to the local vendors on the beach, where there are constant reports of lost property. When I submitted my claim, they refused to cover it because I didn’t have a police report. No one ever mentioned this requirement when I bought the policy, and it was nowhere clearly stated in the documents. It’s ridiculous to expect someone on holiday to hunt down a police station over a pair of glasses. The company clearly hides behind fine print to avoid paying out legitimate claims. This whole experience felt like a scam — all talk about “peace of mind,” but when you actually need help, they disappear behind excuses and technicalities. I’ll never use [Admiral] again, and I’ll warn others to avoid them too. If you think you’re covered, think again — they’ll find a way to wriggle out of it. Read more Read less

They may be cheap and easy to get insured but trust me- check the small print!!!! After submitting a claim I was asked for photos and invoices for tools that were stolen from my shed! Like you take photos of yourself with tools etc. The communication through the process was terrible with me having to chase them constantly as to what was happening with my claim! After 7weeks I was informed I would not be settled for my stolen tools! Get a different insurance provider! Quick to take your money but will do anything to get out of paying should you unfortunately need to claim! Read more Read less

I made a claim within 1 week of my return from holiday when i realised i've lost my designer sunglasses and Airpods. i was told my claim was rejected because it wasn't made within 24 hours. Please tell me who's going to realise they've lost a non-essential item/belonging within 24 hours of a return holiday? Bare in mind, I've provided all proof and documentation they've asked for to substantiate my claim. No my claim has been thrown out, I'm left out of pocket on sunglasses and Airpods which was the whole reason why I paid for Gadget cover in the first place!! What's the point if paying for travel insurance if it doesn't do what it says on the tin? Waste of money. Do not bother using Admiral. Go somewhere else. Read more Read less

After 10+ years with Admiral and no previous claims, I was shocked at how poorly my accident was handled. They accepted the other driver was fully at fault but refused to cover all the damage, ignored clear evidence from my dashcam and Land Rover app, and left me without a car while the complaint drags on. Extremely disappointing and unfair treatment. Read more Read less
