This cowboy insurance company would not pay out when...

This cowboy insurance company would not pay out when my dog developed epilepsy, they said after months of investigating our claim and liasing with vets and their reports etc said it was a pre existing condition, our vets disputed this. Suffice to say we cancelled our policy with them shortly after. We had to pay £2,000 to the veterinary hospital. Absolutely disgusting company look at trustpilot reviews so many people saying the same thing they are happy to take your premium but will never pay out when you make a claim. Very good at taking your money.

Great cover for a reasonable price

We’ve been paying high pet insurance rates for 2 years, got a quote from admiral for a much more reasonable price for pretty much the same cover and they gave me an extra 10% monthly discount for being an existing customer. Pet insurance also includes 24/7 vet video calls which is imperative to us. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Will give you cover, but won't pay the bills

My cat had a heart murmer, the vet recommended it get checked out. One very expensive scan later, I put in a claim to be reimbursed. Admiral stated that, as it was related to the heart murmer it counted as a pre-existing condition even though this was the first diagnosis and the heart murmer was not a problem previously. Any excuse to not pay out. Don't trust them with your money and your pet. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Happy to insure older cat.

I felt my older cats premium was getting very expensive and the excess was also getting very high. I thought l was stuck with that insurance company as it's difficult to get cover for older pets. I decided to insure my new kitten with Admiral and was told l could add my older cat and get a discount for a second pet. I ended up paying less each month with a smaller excess. Very pleased.
