I’ve had 5 dogs insured via Pet Plan and taken out the insured for life policy which I feel is a benefit. The draw back is the last two premiums have increased a lot.for my current pets. (3 are now Rainbow Bridge dogs and 2 are current pets. ) I fully understand why. My pets have always been treated well and any claims dealt with quickly. I’ve been kept updated throughout any claims via text and emails. I highly recommend Petplan and would not consider leaving them. I think it would be a great idea to introduce a loyalty reward scheme for Loyal customers and their pets. Reviewed on: 27th August 2025

Tantamount to a scam!

After insuring 4 cats for many years we have made two claims. The first was several years ago, they did eventually pay out but far less than we expected! The most recent one was a blocked bladder that they have refused to pay out on as it “might have been stress and that’s behavioural”. Even though the vet says it wasn’t behavioural. Seem to play with semantics to wriggle out of paying. We are still pursuing the matter but so far we are not impressed! Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Never paid out despite bonafide claim

Submitted numerous claims which the vet said should have been paid out, but they never paid out a penny. Their argument was always that the claim related to "Behavioral changes". If pets are ill, they behave differently, so this excluded all claims. Each time, the vet was shocked that they had not paid and suggested we complain to the ombudsman. Don't expect a payout from this company and find one with better reviews. Reviewed on: 21st July 2022

Amazing price for the coverage
