Prompt and courteous service

Easy process for claiming. Saved us a fortune!

We got pet insurance last year, for the first time, for our senior cats and one had a big accident which ripped his leg and he hid for a couple of days before we could get him to the vet. So it was a big job to get him fixed up - Sainsburys were great - easy to make the claim, paid direct to the vets and easy to switch over the claim when our cat moved care from the vet hospital back to our regular vet. Such a relief at a very stressful time. Cat is now fine, and we had to spend a lot less than if we'd not been insured! Reviewed on: 2nd September 2026

Beware. Sainsburys pet insurance

Beware Had a Sainsburys lifelong, pet insurance policy for years.Only claimed once for an amount of £276.46p.The next year as a result of this small claim, Sainsburys put up my insurance premium by 120%! Put in a formal complaint asking them to justify a 120% increase and they couldn't! Next stop financial Ombudsman, that will cost them, just for looking into the matter. Now my dog is sadly uninsured with no prospect of a reasonable policy elsewhere, due to an existing condition! Sainsburys, the pirates of the insurance world! You have been warned. AVOID AT ALL COSTS SCAMMERS

Absolute joke of a firm paid insurance for 2 dogs with these scammers. Put in a claim declined it straightaway no explanation asked for a review point blank refused. Underwritten by the wirst Underwriters ever Pinnacle shocking firm. DO NOT USE either of these just take your money and give you nothing. Reviewed on: 10th January 2026
