Exchanged £200 for South African Rand had a good exchange rate compared to other money exchange bureau's. Unfortunately our holiday got cancelled due to unforeseen... Unfortunately our holiday got cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, took the money back and Adele at the Mere Green Exhange bureau went above and beyond to exchange the money back to sterling at no loss to us. Renewal more than for a new customer.

Typical company who charges existing customers (who haven't had any claims) more at renewal than a new customer. Customer loyalty is well and truely dead with Sainsburys.

    9 Months and waiting for claim to be settled

    My husband and I had our house broken into overnight whilst we slept - back in March. 2 Cars stolen (covered by separate insurance companies)... My husband and I had our house broken into overnight whilst we slept - back in March. 2 Cars stolen (covered by separate insurance companies) - we also had a small number of items taken from the kitchen - handbag, purse, iPad and iPhone that were charging in the kitchen - 9 months on we are still waiting, we have provided all of the information we needed, photographic evidence, receipts etc.. at first the claim was denied, they said that there was a clause that there was no forced or violent entry - locksmith and police stated that they had entered by putting their hand into the cat flap and un-locking the door. The non-forced/violent entry clause was only applicable if the house had been empty for 60+ days. WE WERE ASLEEP IN BED!!!! They have passed us on to a claims handling company Davis Group - an absolute disgrace. 9 months later they are still giving us the run around, saying they are waiting on a copy of the policy report - we provided case number and Police Officer details who attended - why did they not do this 9 months ago. THEY ARE A DISGRACE - DO NOT BUY INSURANCE FROM THEM Read more Read less

    Go elsewhere - not a credit to the Sainsbury brand.

    Whilst their pricing is competitive, they seem to have almost no one available to answer simple queries. I had an issue confirming NCB's with them... I had an issue confirming NCB's with them and had to call multiple times to try and get through but the line cuts off before you reach the support team ; one has a sense the system is entirely automated so is unable to cope with an inquiry - and that's as a a new customer.     Had SAINSBURYS HOME INSURANCE for years never any claims On the one day I needed HOME EMERGENCY because I had no heating. I called them... Had SAINSBURYS HOME INSURANCE for years never any claims On the one day I needed HOME EMERGENCY because I had no heating. I called them only to be told you haven’t renewed the policy but funny about that. I’ve got policy documents so when you try to call somebody SAINSBURYS HOME INSURANCE to clarify there’s nobody available Saturday Saturdays and Sundays so looks like I can’t claim against HOME EMERGENCY so don’t waste your money getting this insurance.     Broken Online Account Reset & Call Centre!

    Broken! Cant reset my logon details as the online system rejects my valid details for credit card & loan (via mobile or laptop). Cant use... Broken! Cant use the call centre as it offers no option to connect to online banking support. Cant go via call centre credit card support as no phone options exist.     Awful home insurance.

    Awful home insurance. Firslt I took out home insurance - the overcharged on what they quoted on the phone. Then they sent me a car... Awful home insurance. Firslt I took out home insurance - the overcharged on what they quoted on the phone. Then they sent me a car insruance booklet. I paid extra for home emergency - no contact details. All their base phone numbers are closed on a Sunday. Then I cancelled and the agreed to refund but ring me up from a random number asking for bank details. I refused and they refuse to send a cheque or refund to the orginal method of payment .     NEVER AUTO RENEW

    Had Sainsbury’s home insurance cover when renewal arrived gone from £267 up to £1780 an increase of 750 percent no claims no change in circumstances rip off

    minimal support should you have an incident

    I took this insurance out just before traveling, and got the premium one for peace of mind, I had an incident one week into the... I took this insurance out just before traveling, and got the premium one for peace of mind, I had an incident one week into the trip and tried to inform them (as is requested in the documentation) after one week of sending me round in circles they still couldn't tell me how to proceed so i paid for the treatment myself and cancelled this useless insurance, luckily I was still within my 14 day cooling off period, the money was refunded the next day, its a shame they couldn't have been that efficient when it comes to covering you for an incident, you get what you pay for, so i advise to get a proper travel insurance and/or read these types of reviews first, like i wish i had :) Read more Read less
