I've had the credit card for a while now, and although the website is *reasonably* easy to deal with, it isn't perfect. The main reason... I've had the credit card for a while now, and although the website is *reasonably* easy to deal with, it isn't perfect. The main reason for me reviewing this however was they emailed an offer to me of a 0% credit card balance transfer with £0 transaction fee to move it across!! I thought it was a brilliant offer. If it weren't for the fact I am in the process of remortaging the house (and didn't want a hard credit check on my account), I would totally have taken advantage of it! I don't know if the offer went to all customers, or maybe people who've been with the credit card for a while, but it was a superb offer! Read more Read less

    Exchanged £200 for South African Rand had a good exchange rate compared to other money exchange bureau's. Unfortunately our holiday got cancelled due to unforeseen... Unfortunately our holiday got cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, took the money back and Adele at the Mere Green Exhange bureau went above and beyond to exchange the money back to sterling at no loss to us.     Renewal more than for a new customer.

    Typical company who charges existing customers (who haven't had any claims) more at renewal than a new customer. Customer loyalty is well and truely dead with Sainsburys.

    9 Months and waiting for claim to be settled

    My husband and I had our house broken into overnight whilst we slept - back in March. 2 Cars stolen (covered by separate insurance companies)... My husband and I had our house broken into overnight whilst we slept - back in March. 2 Cars stolen (covered by separate insurance companies) - we also had a small number of items taken from the kitchen - handbag, purse, iPad and iPhone that were charging in the kitchen - 9 months on we are still waiting, we have provided all of the information we needed, photographic evidence, receipts etc.. at first the claim was denied, they said that there was a clause that there was no forced or violent entry - locksmith and police stated that they had entered by putting their hand into the cat flap and un-locking the door. The non-forced/violent entry clause was only applicable if the house had been empty for 60+ days. WE WERE ASLEEP IN BED!!!! They have passed us on to a claims handling company Davis Group - an absolute disgrace. 9 months later they are still giving us the run around, saying they are waiting on a copy of the policy report - we provided case number and Police Officer details who attended - why did they not do this 9 months ago. THEY ARE A DISGRACE - DO NOT BUY INSURANCE FROM THEM Read more Read less

    Go elsewhere - not a credit to the Sainsbury brand.

    Whilst their pricing is competitive, they seem to have almost no one available to answer simple queries. I had an issue confirming NCB's with them... Whilst their pricing is competitive, they seem to have almost no one available to answer simple queries. I had an issue confirming NCB's with them and had to call multiple times to try and get through but the line cuts off before you reach the support team ; one has a sense the system is entirely automated so is unable to cope with an inquiry - and that's as a a new customer.     Had SAINSBURYS HOME INSURANCE for years never any claims On the one day I needed HOME EMERGENCY because I had no heating. I called them... Had SAINSBURYS HOME INSURANCE for years never any claims On the one day I needed HOME EMERGENCY because I had no heating. I called them only to be told you haven’t renewed the policy but funny about that. I’ve got policy documents so when you try to call somebody SAINSBURYS HOME INSURANCE to clarify there’s nobody available Saturday Saturdays and Sundays so looks like I can’t claim against HOME EMERGENCY so don’t waste your money getting this insurance.
