Went to Hedge End, southampton today at 13:30 (06/06) to collect pre paid Euros. The kiosk was without a queue! Amazing. Until I approached the sour faced man behind the counter who happily told me it was closed (not as advertised on the website), whilst he clearly balanced everything up so he could get away well before the end of his shift time at 2pm. i said "so I have to go and find somewhere to wait for 30 minutes until you reopen?" No response. I went to complain at Sainsburys customer service only to be told "its a different company!!" I said but its advertised as 'Sainsbury's' travel money but apparently Sainsbury's Bank isnt anything to do with Sainsburys!!!! Well I returned at 2pm, finally served at 2:05 due to the new person taking 5 minutes to get the system working again. Never again.... Tescos, you have my regular business from now on! Card was blocked and then I got charged an Annual Fee and a Withdrawal Fee. Overseas Call Centre were totally useless and I phoned them 5-6 times. My daughter needed the card for a trip to Japan and I thought it was okay for her to use it. Problem started when she tried to book a Train Ticket on Klook and she couldn't receive an SMS message with an OTP Code (she only had Data Sim). So we switched the Mobile No to mine and I sent her the Code. Then Mastercard decided to block the card, due to her using it. It's not like it was Mastercard's "borrowed" money - it was a pre-loaded card, that they were making a profit on the money. I'm a 35 year customer of Sainsburys and very disappointed. DON'T BUY THIS CARD! Read more Read less

I claimed for a boiler repair which had to be dealt with urgently because of escaping water. I contacted the original installer who repaired the boiler. Because I failed to contact Sainsbury's Insurance prior to the boiler failure I am now left with a bill of £480 which Sainsbury's refuse to accept as a claim. I will never insure with Sainsbury;s Read more Read less

I've had the credit card for a while now, and although the website is *reasonably* easy to deal with, it isn't perfect. The main reason for me reviewing this however was they emailed an offer to me of a 0% credit card balance transfer with £0 transaction fee to move it across!! I thought it was a brilliant offer. If it weren't for the fact I am in the process of remortaging the house (and didn't want a hard credit check on my account), I would totally have taken advantage of it! I don't know if the offer went to all customers, or maybe people who've been with the credit card for a while, but it was a superb offer! Read more Read less
