They will give you cheap insurance in the beginning with the device who keeps on tracking you . Whenever you drive long distance , they will keep red rating and start warning you to cancel the insurance . There is no contact number where you can discuss about the rating and compalints about the device. They will cancel the services in mid of contract and charged you extra money . So please avoid this services . Consider to opt it if you buy a car and don't drive Reviewed on: 30th January 2026

No electricity with an 8-month-old, lowballed by £3K

1
I am currently in a dispute with Aviva (underwriting QuoteMeHappy) regarding claim [10578847] that highlights a shocking disregard for safety and the FCA's Consumer Duty. 1. **Safety & Crisis Management Failure:** A massive leak caused a total electrical short circuit. Instead of helping, Aviva and QuoteMeHappy "ping-ponged" me on the phone for hours, refusing to take ownership. We were left **without electricity for 3 days** with an 8-month-old baby. It was scheduled to be 4 days, and was only resolved because the **handyman himself** had to step in and escalate it to them, explaining that a home with no power is uninhabitable for an infant. It is disgraceful that a contractor cared more about my child's safety than my insurer did. 2. **Severe Lowballing:** They offered a cash settlement of just **£486.63** after the excess to fix extensive water damage affecting the subfloor, joists, and ceiling. I have obtained an independent quote for **£3,624.00** to actually fix the damage safely. Aviva is effectively offering 13% of the true cost, trying to use my personal refurbishment plans as an excuse to pay £0 for the structural repairs they are liable for. 3. **Process Failures:** The claims handler has refused to accept the evidence of the water bill and is trying to force me to open a "second claim" (with a second excess) for the same damage event to avoid paying out. I have escalated this to a formal complaint, but be warned: Aviva will bounce you between departments while you sit in the dark, and use every technicality to avoid paying to make your home safe. So I am a community mental health nurse and about 6 weeks ago whilst on a visit I got caught in the floods. I drove my Jaguar through a puddle in the road I couldn’t avoid and then lost my power steering and mode control. I called the insurance and they said an engineer would come out to look at Damage. Next day engineer called me to say he would not be coming out because it’s a common fault. I asked him were he got his info he said Google. So I called Jaguar and they said this simply isn’t true. So I contacted my insurance again. They said he should have come out and would sort it out. But could not give me a courtesy car as they hadn’t looked at it. This went on for 5 weeks and in the end I had to tell them I have no choice but to get legal team involved. The next day my car was picked up. However, sill no courtesy car as the engineer is yet to turn up at the garage to look at my car. I need my car as I am a community mental health nurse I told them this but they simply don’t care. I have business insurance and pay for a courtesy car. I believe Aviva insurance are the underwriters. So stay clear of these. They still haven’t sorted this and I’m about to go into week 7.
