Absolutely avoid.

Absolutely avoid. Terrible customer experience, from a bank that won’t even allow you to control your own money, nor give you even bother to give you a reason why. As a Product Designer I can also confidently say the user experience is comical. Rather than drawing focus to the funds in your account, they prioritise how much you’ve spent that day by drawing contrast to this, rather than what you have available. The staff are rude, unhelpful and not remorseful in the slightest. The last straw for me was when my sister desperately needed me to send some money to her and Starling blocked it. Excellent straightforward banking for sole traders

As a sole trader, I was looking for a Business Bank account that didn’t eat into my modest income, as had happened with my previous bank once their introductory offer ceased. Starling provided just that and more. I find them straightforward to deal with, easy to use, and, unlike other banks I have used in the past, have caused me no difficulties at all. User friendly mobile banking App is really good. So far, i have never encountered any technical issues. Business categories are pre-defined so easy to tag and some are automatically tagged based on the transaction. Reviewed on: 18th April 2024
