Review of the WarrantyWise, Warranty:

Avoid Them Like The Plague

1
Purchased a used vehicle from garage in Tamworth with a 6 month Platinum Warranty provided by garage but through Warranty Wise. Vehicle was purchased 24/09/25 so warranty should start from that date, so when car arrived a week later (I live in Scotland) I got it inspected and found instrument cluster was faulty so made claim on 05/10/2025 for repair, they rejected it due to policy not being submitted on time, they said it started 09/10/2025. So after arguing case with garage who said it starts on day of purchase WW agreed to pay 50% of cost as garage good customer to them Fast forward to renewal time I find out policy did start on day of purchase and should have been covered, so again contacts them to argue case, the answer this time that it was an existing fault and wouldn't be covered. They are dirty lying scumbags and should be put out of business for robbing people, there are plenty of reviews similar to mine, so this ain't a one off. I don't know if there is an ombudsman for these types of companies, and if not there should be. So anyone thinking of taking out a policy with this lot, AVOID, they'll do everything in their power to avoid paying, even when caught telling blatant lies. I hope they go out of business, Scumbags, would love to use stronger words but they might not get published Reviewed on: 28th March 2025

Avoid Warrantywise at all costs!!!!!!!!

I took out a high-level policy with Warrantywise, trusting their promises that it would give me peace of mind and cover essential repairs. However, when I needed them the most, they refused to pay out, hiding behind technicalities and exclusions that were never properly explained at the time of purchase. I was explicitly told by their sales team that my policy would cover all major mechanical repairs as long as I maintained servicing. That turned out to be completely false. When my car broke down, I was left stranded with a huge repair bill and no real support from Warrantywise. I requested a recording of my sales call from January 2023, and after carefully listening to it, I can still confirm that I was misled. They do not send you the full policy documents when you sign up, instead burying important details in a link within an email. If, like me, you trusted them from the start, be ready for a nasty surprise when you try to claim. To make matters worse, they had the cheek to claim they went ‘above and beyond’ by offering to cover the cost of the parts—which was only about 20% of the total repair bill. They frame it as if they’re being generous, but in reality, it’s just a way to make you feel they are being fair when they are not. Please do not be tricked. If you’re thinking of signing up, read everything carefully and double-check all the details. A lot of the positive reviews are from people who have JUST signed up—but once you actually try to make a claim, it’s a completely different story. Even multiple garages I spoke to warned me that Warrantywise rarely pays out, and I wish I had listened. The cost of their policy is almost the same as a more reputable provider, so do yourself a favour and go with a company that will actually give you peace of mind when you need it. Save your money—get a credit card instead. Rather than paying into a policy that will likely let you down, put that money aside or use a credit card when you actually need repairs. At least that way, you’re in control, rather than relying on a company that will do everything possible to avoid paying. Avoid Warrantywise at all costs. I feel completely let down, misled, and short-changed. If you want real protection, go elsewhere before it’s too late. Reviewed on: 22nd March 2025

Don’t Purchase

Review of Warranty Wise: I recently purchased a warranty policy from Warranty Wise, however, my policy has not yet started. Upon deciding to cancel my policy with them, I was met with some challenges. Despite my request to cancel, Warranty Wise informed me that there would be a charge of £50 associated with this cancellation, which I found disappointing. In addition, I found their persistence in dissuading me from canceling to be a bit overwhelming. Given the circumstances and the customer service experience I encountered, I decided to explore other warranty providers. During my research, I came across ALA Warranty, which, in my opinion, appears to offer better coverage and more favorable terms. After comparing the two providers, I am inclined to believe that ALA Warranty might be a more suitable option for me. Reviews and feedback I found suggest that ALA Warranty pays out more claims, which gives me more confidence in their service compared to Warranty Wise. In conclusion, while my experience with Warranty Wise was not entirely positive, I am now considering switching to ALA Warranty based on their reputation and the feedback I have gathered.CRW-FEEJWDMJ Reviewed on: 2nd January 2025

Liars, never pay out.

1
Worst company I have ever had the displeasure of using. If I could give 0 stars I would. They told me that in order to assess whether I can get my car repaired under warranty, I would have to pay the 1800 to have the engine taken apart and have pictures taken so they can assess whether or not my problem is covered by them. If they deem it not to be covered then I have to pay the 1800 plus 1500 for the repair. Warranty was supposed to give me peace of mind for big financial costs like this. The garage I went to said that this happens all the time with this company and others like it, and they rarely pay out. There is always an excuse. Save your money and do not bother with them! Don’t waste your money with Warranty Wise.

Don’t waste your money with Warranty Wise. I’ve learned the hard way. Warranty Wise are great at selling policies but ever better at not paying out on claims…. They promise they are different to other insurances and will always look after you- but once the policy is sold they give the run around for any claim. and be warned - you better have the complete car service history or they wont pay. I have full history and they still didnt pay! Reviewed on: 20th June 2024

Avoid this warranty provider at all costs.

Avoid this warranty provider at all costs. I recently purchased a vehicle and this warranty and I can honestly say it is a waste of money. My first claim was rejected on the grounds of it not being covered. It was clearly covered in the warranty booklet. They used a technicality of it being a BMW additional part (obviously not listed) to try and get out of this claim. The garage where I purchased the car upgraded the warranty at the cost of, I believe, a 1000 pounds (total 2600) to platinum. They then, eventually (after me having to hire a car). The next claim, baring in mind it was on covers everything platinum) they came back with it was a result of manifest (meaning use of the car). This (over a period of many weeks and more car hire) resulted in in eventually being fixed. predominantly on the garage thretening to withdrawal business from them. I subsequnetly tried to cancel and they obliged after many many unreturned calls with an email saying "we have cancelled the policy and you will recieve no money back'. Absolutely shocking customer service and warranty. Ignore the so called positive reviews and focus on the negative ones as I am sure these are more accurate of REAL customer experience. If you are looking for a warranty LOOK ELSEWHERE. NOT ONLY DOES THIS WARRANTY CHALLENGE EVERYTHING CLAIM YOU WILL MAKE, BUT YOU ONLY GET THE COUTESSY CAR FOR THE TIME IN REPAIR. THAT IS WHEN THE MECANIC IS WORKING ON IT. NOT BEFORE. NOT UNTIL COLLECTION. THE X AMOUNT OF HOURS THEY WORK ON THE CAR. AGAIN, USELESS. Reviewed on: 30th April 2024

Read T&C carefully

When I bought the extended warranty plan 04/40, less than a year ago, I was told that this is the most premium that covers everything, including the roadside assistance is covered. I had a flat tyre and when I called them up they said flat-puncture tyres are NOT covered. Tried to sell me AA membership? Now reading the other reviews and realise this is going to be really tough trying to get anything out of them. Reviewed on: 6th March 2023
