Awful company

had no choice when came to useing these guys when got my new car as my dealer only used them. But been very interesting and difficult experience for me. Very difficult to get through talk to someone. Don't reply to emails. Very unhelpful when comes to trying pay settlement off and don't check thier accounts properly. Reviewed on: 19th February 2024

Completed finance but they registered 2 missed payments.

At the beginning of April I arranged collection of a car after the PCP agreement completed, due to COVID they were unable to collect until mid June, they have finally collected but I had to tax and insure the car to cover for 3 months. I recieved a request for payment for excess mileage on the same day thay I recieved an alert that they had tanked my credit rating by 200 points for missed payments they are not due. They are CRIMINALS

I have lost all my hope!!!! This people are CRIMINALS, bought a FAULTY BMW from Henley Cars. 8 Days after the car broke. I took it to service to make a report of the faults they found OVER 30 FAULTS with the car. By LAW I am entitled to a complete refund. When I provided the document to Alphera, they disappeared and started to ignore me completely. I still pay monthly for the car to Alphera , lost ALL MY MONEY and have a BROKEN CAR. My LAWYERS are in shock and state that what they do is ILIGAL! Reviewed on: 2nd June 2020

I have a car Finance with this company, and I’ve been paid 5 months 163 per month, and turns up i have paid only 330 to the capital and 490 to the interest coz the interest strats very high, I wanted to settle early and they told me i need to pay another 182£ on top of that. Scammers never send me anything about the way sharing the interest. AA FINANCE SOLD ME THIS. AVOID Reviewed on: 22nd May 2020

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THESE ABSOLUTE COWBOYS!!!! Purchased a car from a VW dealer with a fault. Sent the car into VW and they replaced a wheel bearing. Fault was still present on the car to be told it was a characteristic. 3 months later the financial ombudsman have agreed in my favour. Alphera have no clue on the UK law. They have also now stopped replying to the Financial Ombudsman!! absolutely awful company. Now left with no car to use and no response. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG YOU'RE ALONE!!!! Great Underwriting Team

I Have been with Alphera for the Past 18 months they financed my Maserati originally, I approached them through a dealer one day ago to get another car and change my current one, The underwriting team sorted it really quickly as My married name was not showing up on my credit report. My score was low because of my change of name and all of my accounts wasn't reflecting on my credit reports. They understood and it was sorted, great, efficient, and professional and they treated me like how I expected to be treated as I never missed a payment with them. No help whatsoever during Covid-19 pandemic

After numerous calls and emails to try and arrange a payment holiday during the Coronavirus crisis I finally got through only to be told they don’t give payment holidays and that I’d have to give details and they will decide how much I can drop my payments by but surprisingly enough Alphera financial services in Republic of Ireland give their customers a payment holiday within 5 minutes online. Great customer service fro Nicola

I called today to see what help I could get from Alphera during the Covid-19 pandemic. Nicola was the name of the customer advisor that took my call. Nicola was so lovely and made feel at ease. She was understanding of the my situation and helped me out straight away. As a result I would definitely recommend Alphera in the future. Reviewed on: 8th April 2020

Wont return my money after loan repaid

My finance which was always paid in full and on time was cleared when I purchased a new car. Despite Alphera receiving and cashing the cheque they failed to apply the funds to my account. They then took another months direct debit. Despite fully admitting they need to refund this money they are using all manner of excuses to avoid doing so, so I have now had to turn to the Financial Services Ombudsman for help. Total joke of a company that willingly lies to you over the phone. Avoid at all costs. Reviewed on: 12th October 2019

Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced.

I was sold a faulty car by this company, I first complained nearly a year ago. Despite winning a case with the financial ombudsmen I am still awaiting for the company to uphold their decision, despite constantly chasing them. Obviously, once you no longer owe them money, then you are no longer a priority. I would think twice before choosing this financial provider as when something goes wrong, it's incredibly hard to get it rectified. Reviewed on: 8th October 2019
