Transphobic and Discriminatory Staff

Transphobic Team promoting hate against LGBT+ individuals I have had a Finance Agreement with Alphera Financial since 2020 never missed a payment due to my job i was abroad working i transferred my car into my family’s member name who is also on the insurance incase if i was killed abroad as i went to work in a war ridden country. Alphera Sent me a letter while there have been numerous postal strikes and post being late they ask me to ensure the V5 is on my name and send proof of insurance the letter was dated on the 18th of Jan i got the letter on 9th of Feb, the deadline they gave me was until the 7th of feb as only two days difference i called them about 100 times there lines was closed i immediately took steps to rectify the problem i changed the car back and sent then all the required documents they agreed to review it with a manager i disclose to them i am also trans and i am starting to transition to a transgender at this point this discussions took a complete turn they are a bunch nasty disgusting racist discriminatory individuals they decided to terminate my contract because i breached the terms and missed the deadline by two days and now they intend on ruining my credit and my life by reporting it on my credit as default and i never missed one single payment of 696.00 a month I cannot believe they are allowed to get away with this and the UK government and regulatory authorities give these people the power to inflict harm abuse and discrimination to innocent members of society shameful Reviewed on: 15th February 2023

Con Merchants

I returned a car on PCP from Alphera and was told that I had no mileage cots as i was well under my allowed mileage so could return car with few hundred pounds for wear and tear. After returning car I then received an invoice few weeks later requesting £980 for excess mileage. After ringing them they confirmed that this was a mistake as they have listened to original phone call and a manger would sort it out and get back to me . After a month I recieved another invoice for again980m and rang to discuss this where i was told this is not a mistake and i must payy this so i raised a complaint with the complaints department whilst they investigated it everythinbg would be on hold. Three more invoices arrived with different amounts on and several more hour long phone calls were spent trying to sort this out . After another month i received a letter saying my complaint was not upheld and i must pay the £980 . Few days later i rang and an agressive customer service agent told me that my credit score had now been damaged and will continue to be damaged monthly if i did not pay in full immediately. Even if i had payment plan my credit would show arrears on their invoice i had been assured was wrong and i would not have to pay. Agressive tactics , incompetence and lies were all i encountered during months of nightmare phone calls and threatening letters, they are a dreadful rip off company do not get any finance from them for anything without doubt the worste customer service ive ever encountered and will nevr use them again. Disgusting service

I have had an agreement with this company for 4 years. I renewed my agreement last year had new quotes sent through.Unknown to myself a year later they have contacted me to say they never received the renewal paperwork so I don't have a new agreement,I know I sent it back. They have stated that they have sent emails to myself saying I am in arrears- a year later. I have never received these. They have given myself 20 days to make a final payment. I as a single mum with a child with SEN do not have that money to pay.So they are taking the car away from us,won't even let me continue with the same monthly payment they i have been paying. They will accept no mistake on there part & there is no one that they will allow me to complain to. Absolute joke of a company,what I am going to do I just don't know,feel totally lost. Dreadful

Similar to another reviewer, applied for PCP through them on what would have been my 3rd agreement and despite 8 years of never missing a payment and proving funds and income well in excess of what was required they decided to decline funding. Horrible to deal with, arrogant, flippant and disrespectful responses - never again. Avoid at all costs and seek funding elsewhere. Dreadful company to deal with. Reviewed on: 10th April 2022

Rubbish

Total crap been with them for years never missed a payment and they have rejected me for a new PCP deal well they can poke the car i have as unless they have a good reason for it my credit score is 979 out of 999 so no excuse the car i have will be going back never again Reviewed on: 14th November 2021

AVOID!

I cannot stress enough how crooked Alphera are, they should be avoided at all costs. Given they are a part of BMW FS, I figured I would be in safe hands. I was so very wrong. Bought a shed of a car from Arnold Clark on PCP financed by Alphera back in June 2021, which resulted in vehicle rejection. I followed all of the legal requirements for me, as the consumer, which included allowing an independent inspection at the manufacturer (at Alphera’s request). They accepted the inspection report and the vehicle rejection, but seem to think that their procedural timeframe of “8 weeks to resolve a complaint” somehow trumps the 14 days by which a rejection should be concluded, as written in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (law!). Took me 2 months from independent inspection to get the rejection completed, and of course this is well outside the 8 weeks for resolving a “complaint” (which this clearly wasn’t!). Every week I had to chase alphera for an update, they were not forthcoming with a single piece of information. Every action that they had to take, only took place at the time I made chasing calls. They were literally sitting on my legal issue and doing precisely nothing. The staff are rude, and simply lie when they tell you they’ll do something to help… spoiler, they won’t! One man called Raj even laughed at my situation. In summary, go elsewhere… and I mean ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Reviewed on: 30th September 2021

Excellent, fast and efficient service

After my previous HP Loan provider let me down at the last minute, despite running around for two weeks to get approvals in place, Alphera responded quickly, and efficiently, confirming the loan, helping me buy by car same day, and even lowering my rate against the other company. Avoid this company at all costs

I would not advise using this company. They have falsely reported information to credit reference agencies, which has subsequently ruined my credit score. I have never received so much as an apology from them. The customer service there is shocking. I will never use them again. Reviewed on: 23rd October 2020
