Poor complaint handling and no management response

My experience dealing with this company has been extremely frustrating. I raised a formal complaint regarding a vehicle arranged through Zuto and have repeatedly been promised callbacks within 72 hours, yet weeks later I am still waiting for proper contact from management. Communication from the complaints department has been very poor, and I have found the handling of my case by Amy Clark disappointing, especially where concerns and contradictions I raised were not properly addressed. I am paying over £300 per month for this vehicle, yet I have been left chasing updates continuously with little accountability or support. For a finance-related company, I expected professionalism, transparency, and proper customer care, but my experience has been the complete opposite. Customers should not have to wait weeks for management contact while continuing to make substantial monthly payments.” Reviewed on: 10th June 2026

My concern is that Oodle does not act in good faith

My concern is that Oodle does not ensure relevant checks are carried out by the dealership prior to purchase. I have factual evidence of this. Furthermore, when I complained I paid for an expert report from one of two companies they accept reports from, which confirmed the vehicle was unsafe and unroadworthy and the fault that rendered it so was present at point of sale. Oodle then, having misplaced the report, made a decision one day after I shared it with them again. The decision was in their favour. Their final response selectively quoted from the expert report, misrepresented the actual subject of my complaint and made generic findings based on mischaracterisation. They also made that decision jointly with a broker. I was not advised that my complaint would hinge upon the opinon of another company. They failed to adhere to their own publicly stated privacy notice by sharing my report and other information without informing me. When I made a Subject Access Request under GDPR Oodle would not release documents even in redacted form, which represents poor practice. Despite giving them a second chance they still wouldn't release them. Having made a Subject Access Request to the companies Oodle shared my information with, without notifying me, I discovered their internal notes occupied an entirely different position to their final response. My case is with the Ombudsman. Despite Oodle recognising, internally, the validity of the report and accepting the car was dangerous to drive and that the report supported my position, they still attempted to obtain a collection fee when I terminated the agreement voluntarily. They did this because the car was not roadworthy. Internaly they accepted that position, externally they do not. Had I not obtained their internal emails and notes via a Subject Access Request to a company that releases information relating to me, I would have found it difficult to challenge such a fee. Do not finance your vehicle with this company. If you do, please ensure the vehicle is thoroughly inspected visually and using an OBD scanner to check old fault codes. And finally, whatever Oodle says about me getting in touch with customer relations, I have tried that and you have repeatedly failed to call me back or address any of my concerns in writing. Do not deal with this company at any cost .just sent me a letter to ring them immediately to avoid any further action due to arrears on my account yes there are arrears on my account of 2p yes thats right 2p asked me to set up a payment plan for just 2p how much has the letter cost to print and post 100 times that be warned people do not deal with these sharks if there sending nasty letters out for just 2p what would you get for a few hundred quid i dread to think total joke of a company I wish I had never crossed there path Reviewed on: 14th November 2025

Not great company .desperate for money

Not great company ..was missold faulty van that should have passed Mot middleman advise seller to refuse return ..Oodle didn’t and could choose to force seller to take it back ..after year they lost the case from Ombudsman’s ..After they purposely miss reported on my credit refused to remove it and now after 2 years I guess we are stuck in relationship of going back and foward ..would of rather walked for 2-3 hours everyday rather than do bussiness with this company ..ps they been advised that seller was avoiding meeting to purposely miss28 day window and refused to have look at the van and is it for first 1 and half of a window.. Edit: Just received my DSAR from oodle that just proved that they ar incompleted company they truly knew they can force the dealership to take the van but didn’t bother to do it …reference and picture bellow ..They only got away with it because of lazy ombudsman’s that I am seeking not having to use .. Your Legal Position (UK Consumer Credit Act 1974 & Consumer Rights Act 2015) Because you bought the vehicle on finance, your contract is actually with the finance company, not directly with the dealer. The dealership is acting as an agent or supplier in this case. Them and carplus just baiting for time ..their emails between does not match the haste this requires it could have been resolved there and then dealer didn’t offer repair or replacement which they could ..but oodle didn’t bother ..Other and carplus just wasted time as I been force to pay for engineer check up that they refused to confirm ..this company stretched this out for more than a year Reviewed on: 31st July 2025

Consumer law is not followed!!!!!

sale no problems at all however just past 30days and dealership denies any knowledge so i appeal to Oodles vehicle as not fit for use .No major issues until they agree car not fit for purpose ignored all my emails to reject the vehicle they agree then 48 hrs later change the decision allowing zuto to disrupt .The amount of distress caused not addressed no re-imbursement for 3 diagnostics which i paid myself !!! They gave £175 towards travel just shocking .Vehicle off road from 25th august after retracting their decision !! they have ignored my right to reject suffering extreme anxiety and email me on 23rd dec 1pm no warning no updates but told vehicle fixed arrange collection day before xmas eve. Post christmas they then slap me with a default notice which states i am in breach of contract .I have disclosed my health etc and have had to complain to the ombudsman still ongoing .How can i be expected to drive or feel safe doing so in a car that has been proven faulty at point of sale. Rip off merchants!

Left me with a car that didn’t work. They do not deal with trusted salesman but con merchants! Paid over £1000 to fix a car I had bought via them and when I handed it back decided to hound me for £246 even though I’d spent so much repairing it.
