As from 1st April -appropriately April Fools Day- payment into any savings account has to be made in cash, online or by setting up a... As from 1st April -appropriately April Fools Day- payment into any savings account has to be made in cash, online or by setting up a standing order. In my opinion this is unfair to customers who do not bank online and don’t want to make a trip to the bank followed by one to the Monmouthshire to deposit money. It’s very ageist although my daughter in her early 50’s is of the same opinion. The point of a passbook is to use it and be able see your deposit, balance and withdrawals. This is no reflection on counter staff in Newport might I add Read more Read less

However she had done a very good job in getting all the information and documentation needed prior to the meeting, So we received our mortgage offer within two weeks of the meeting which was excellent.
